I know it's silly at this early stage but from what I've seen on Paramount+:
1. Plymouth
2. Derby
3. Cardiff
It's been one game of the season so far.
Why are Sunderland suddenly a 'decent' team when they beat us 0-2 at CCS? That was the 'whippet' out of the trap game for us. We were nobbled by our sausage of a clueless manager. And if anyone posts f*cking stats again as if they're some redeeming factor...can't wait to see the next match at home and have better possession again. It's really exciting.
Youre wasting your time. Its like trying to debate with someone who sticks their fingers in their ear and shouts la-la-la-la whilst youre trying to talk. I wasted enough of last season on Comical NCB, the guy is insane. Its futile even trying to reason with him.
On the subject of stats, their XG was 1.69 and ours was 0.99 so not sure where these better stats come from.
Based on the game we saw and how organised they looked, they have a few decent players, without the ball they were all back in position and made it very difficult for us. Of course, it's hard to know for sure one way or the other but based on that game I think they'll do quite well.
Betting odds have them around 8th https://www.oddschecker.com/football...ship/promotion
More possession
More shots
More blocked shots
Same on target
Same corners
I can't remember them having free kicks from dangerous positions, we wasted two.
Although all irrelevant the only stat that mattered was we lost 0-2

They are a decent team, but it's very early, overall very disappointing, especially NG's defending, we gifted them two poor goals.
Before a ball was kicked this season Sunderland were rated 11th by the bookmakers. The Racing Post pundits predicted they’d finish 19th.
They have some decent players for sure, but there’s little evidence yet to suggest that they are a good team by this division’s standards.
They think 20th for City. You’re not prepared to accept that prediction as being realistic, but you are seemingly keen to accept their Sunderland prediction. It’s almost as if one prediction suits your view but the other doesn’t.
For it’s worth, I don’t think City will finish 20th, but I don’t think Sunderland will finish 8th either.
In a few games time Sunderland will be on the end of a leathering
And their fans will be moaning
Ours are very good at it but they all like a go
It’s certainly not beyond the bounds of possibility that our league record will read played four, lost four in a few weeks time. Once you make a start like that, you’ll do well to avoid a relegation struggle in a division as competitive as the Championship- especially if you’re a team that has a real issue when it comes to playing in front of your own fans.
If I remember rightly they were on a terrible run last season when they came here and we were utter shit and they comfortably got the 3 points then next game they took a hammering at home.
Could be similar again dealt with us as we again created feck all , easy 3 points wouldn't suprise me at all to see them get beaten next week.
I dont think they will be anything other than average at best.
Their first goal came from a free kick in a decent area albeit we defended it like old fallopians from the m and w developments Sunday league.Originally Posted by North

It's a little silly and only a bit of fun. That's all. Of course, the mighty Bulut knows what he's doing and the Sunderland performance was just a blip.![]()
Agreed it's easy to go on a bad run, confidence can drain quickly and panic set in, I was worried when I saw the first two months fixtures, next month it's Leeds, Hull, a bit better with Derby. We need a win from the next two if possible, but will we!
Tomorrow will be interesting can any of the youngsters make a strong case for selection?
We didn't exactly pepper their goals but we had an attempt just tipped last the post, Tanner missed a sitter header, Robinson couldn't get any power behind his shot and a ball whipped in came too quickly for Ramsey to react. Those were chances we created even if we didn't do anything with them.
we might aswell treble down on it
im going with
Cardiff
Cardiff
Cardiff
I'll revise my three now:
1. Plymouth
2. Derby
3. Oxford
Hopefully throughout the season the football league will publish a system that will definitely rank how good teams are and update it on a weekly basis.
