We are going to get mullered if he plays the same midfield as Sunderland game
What's with this positivity shit ?
3-0 to Burnley, we don't cross the half way line for 85 minutes , 3 goals come from interceptions whilst we are passing across our own box...
Can I get back in the team guys?
I am going to have a wee wager, 13/2 is ridiculous. We were quite solid against Sunderland , just lacked a cutting edge .
Mcgguiness looks assured at the back on his return Tuesday add in Chambers NG and Goutas , could be a bit tighter at the back .
He may go for a more safety first team but Colwill would be the first name on my team sheet , him and Tanner (who I didnt rate) combining looked a wee bit special albeit against slightly lesser opponents .
Bollocks that positivity is taking over again.....
McGuinness on his way so he won't be in the squad.
Can't see a win, but with them selling possibly their best player today, perhaps we might scratch a fluky draw.
Fancy it will be an experienced line up , looking to blunt and frustrate Burnley get too 65 minutes then put sone pace on if we're one nil down.
battered 5-0
To be honest, I'm not sure how many out-and-out strikers you should have if you only play one up top. In terms of balance (if not quality) I'd say we've got it about right. Surely there'd be no point in having 5 or 6, say, Keiffer Moores match fit and ready just in case four of them drop out at the same time. If a number of them are utility players then that increases their chances of game time and gives the manager more options too.
Always a danger that those players become jacks-of-all-trades and masters of none, of course, but a degree of flexibility can be a useful asset to have, whatever the position.
In my opinion, we are where we are due to the inflexibility of the current manager when it comes to tactics, and some abysmal recruitment in recent years in terms of strikers.
Anyway, let’s see what Bulut and Co can conjure up in the coming days. The club is said to be trying to bring another striker in before the window closes.
I couldnt agree more. Tanner and Colwill were outstanding when played in their correct positions. Also Tanner had Kpakio behind him who offers a lot more attacking support than Ng (although Perrys a better defender).
The fact is some of our attacking players suffer because of the system we play, rather than a lack of ability.
