Hated him with a passion before he signed for us given his dirty Leeds background, but how wrong was I! Absolute legend, always did he all for the shirt. Moments like when he took that guy shopping for new glasses just prove what a great man he was.
    RIP Sol

Oh man. This just seems so unfair.

He is so well loved and respected around the game - one hell of a legacy.

My heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends.

    Rest in peace, Sol.

What a player for us. So determined and strong in defence and amazing from corners.

Sol Bamba's wife Chloe has paid a heartbreaking tribute to him and said the Cardiff City legend lost his fight with cancer.

    I am absolutely gutted.

He's up there with my favourite City players ever, and that isn't just hyperbole after learning of his death.

The video of him making Welshcakes with Warnock still pops up on my YouTube feed every so often and I always watch it.

    RIP Bluebird.

Very sad news, Bamba is 9 days older than me, really hits home how you have to live life to its max.

Brilliant player for us, came at a time when we needed him the most.

    RIP Sol.

Re: Sol Bamba has passed away

That’s terrible news, I was talking about him yesterday with my son, and how much of an impact he had on the City. RIP Sol, taken way too young!

    Desperately sad news.
I'd heard about this last night and sobered up straight away.
The guy was so popular with so many people.
    Condolences to his family.

The Leeds game in a few weeks is going to be very emotional.

    RIP Sol, City legend 🙏
