In the red corner, youth, pace, and intention to play the game that fans want to see. In the white corner dour, defensive, unimaginative. In some ways this taster session has made this Cardiff City fan feel even more despondent over our manager.

I love that he remembers why all of us got involved in football in the first place, City players have been primarily concerned with stopping the opposition playing for ages and wouldn’t know how to react if a manager came in and started talking like Bellamy does in that video.

I'm convinced Tanner for example has looked better coming on as a sub as he has bee allowed to play his natural game and attack. Whereas his awful display v Sunderland being because he was told to help the full back stop Jack Clarke and not take risks or lose the ball.
I think there is a lot to be said of how any manager played the game themselves.
Bellamy’s philosophy is exactly the same as how he played. Very confident in his own ability, and fearless in attack.
Kevin Keegans Newcastle played the same way as he did. Ultimately didn’t win anything, but my god, they were great to watch.
On the other hand, with Southgate being a defender, it was always caution first with England.
I’ve often wondered how players come to find their natural position. As CB says, when kids first start playing football, the natural response is to get the ball and try to score a goal. At what age does a kid decide to be a striker, midfielder, defender or goalkeeper?
Josh McGennis (spelling), started off as a goalkeeper, and ended up as a decent striker.
I love listening to CB talk about the game. He was a great pundit in his very short career on Sky Sports. Glad he’s putting back into the game on the grass rather than the studio though.
On the flip side I do think he’s a little bit naive. There will be games we have to be more defensive agains teams with more quality. As the Burnley side he coached found out last year .
It's usually a manager or coach who decides where you play based on perceived attributes.
Interesting as well I've seen a few players, Rambo and Connor Roberts say that they loved Friday night. Ramsey put on instagram that he loved every minute of it. Clearly players have more fun playing on the front foot as well
I tend to agree with you about his naivety but nevertheless after Page, his positive attitude is refreshing. At the moment he's got a boyish enthusiasm for the task ahead and seems to want to go gung-ho at the the opposition but I would imagine this will change over time, especially if we put together a string of poor results.

3 years of Page, in which time City have had McCarthy, Morison, Hudson, Lamouchi and now f-ing Bulut in the hot seat. It’s been grim.
Ramsey looked a different player to the one we've been watching at Cardiff. His whole demeanour and body language was different on Friday night. I'm not surprised he said he loved it. It was good to see Connor Roberts had shaved that moustache off too.
Considering City’s abject failure when playing negatively, you’d think he’d give another method a go now?
There's stubborn and stupid. I don't thinks he's stupid so it could be stubbornness that proves to be his downfall.
