There should be trap door that opens if he doesn't answer after the question is asked a second time (don't want to be trigger happy!)

Maybe with a 'you're fired' soundtrack?

In all seriousness, I watched that Jon and thought the same as I did with Biden. It's a collective responsibility for key people to intervene. He clearly isn't able or fit to run for office. I can't stand Trump but I thought it was cruel to see Biden going through all this and I think the same for Trump. The US is in a dangerous place.

There were key people on the Democrat side to get Biden to stand down (reluctantly).

There are no key people on the Republican side with the ability or influence to do the same with Trump.

    Yup ...but...

Is it fear (of Trump)? I can't believe there's such a groupthink within the whole party. I mean, I'd be asking myself, even if he wins, what kind of country/world are we going to get? I can't see anything other than a collapse of the US very much like the USSR with the direction its going - whoever wins now.

But they've got guns. What could possibly go wrong?

The more I’ve got into this election in recent weeks, the more I’ve found myself wondering how high another term as President was among Donald Trump’s priorities in running for a third time. For example, he seems to waste no opportunities to try and milk his supporters for more cash and, although you get all sorts of merchandise sold by a political party or candidate, Trump takes it to new levels. Also, it seems to be commonly accepted that, even if he loses, his chances of going to prison lessen if he’s running for the Presidency.

One theory that is circulating is Trump is running so hard because he is petrified of losing and ending up in jail. A lot of the cash generated by his grifting goes straight towards covering his massive legal losses.

I have a feeling that some deal will be worked out whereby Trump would be effectively pardoned in exchange for “going away” when he loses to try to draw a line under the crazy Trump era. I could well be wrong.

I just want to go back to the good old days when you could just detest Republicans for their venality, not worry about them subverting democracy.

I really hope you’re wrong. If the American experiment goes horribly wrong, humanity is without hope.

Disgruntled MAGA folk do worry me though. I can’t see how they can lose with grace.

The documentary on Channel 4 - Trump's Heist - is frightening. Well worth a look.

The number of people voting against Trump went up by 25% in 2020, and the number of electoral college votes he got fell by almost a quarter so....yes?

I see, so any anti-trump individuals should be sleeping well in their beds throughout the fall, and beyond.

It’s like there’s a different set of rules for Trump to other politicians - perhaps he’s still not regarded as one?

Well, let’s be honest, no politician ever answers the question, but Trump takes this to a whole new level.

TBF, he's not going to tell the BBC anything as he knows all about their Machiavellian tricks.
