I loved watching Philogene while he was here - one of the few pleasures during a seriously drab campaign. He was erratic, though. He often seemed to want to beat his man two or three times and could be frustrating, but his influence grew as the season progressed.
Philogene only started 25 of City's 46 league games in 2022/23. He definitely became much more important as the season wore on, which was understandable considering he was only 20 years old at the time.
