In West Dover, Vermont today (for 3 days). Started in Washington, then train to Philadelphia, then train to New York, then train to Boston to pick up a hire car. Been to Kennebunkport (shrines to Bush senior!), Bar Harbour and Jackson. Back to Boston early next week and fly home on Friday. Never been to the USA before (apart from transiting through airports). An experience - and more so because of the election campaign.
I’m really keen on seeing Vilma Sanchez win the race for Probate Recorder in western Maine, so I’m thinking of applying for political asylum to escape the curse of Starmer. I have heard that all Americans welcome immigrants and will allow me to vote before the ink is dry? Not sure what a ballot harvester is - but if it has anything to do with pumpkins it will do well. There are a lot of John Deere tractors here too - which is probably clear evidence that the deep state is at work. What do your MAGA mates think?
I would rather starmer be president than that utter cttt trump
People who are invested in the orange man bad narrative have great difficulty being objective, and I understand that. However, I am always going to vote for the person who makes my life better, not worse, and I actually don't give a fkkk who they are as long as they do their job. I could have also mentioned the media propaganda, tribalism and group think, but I don't want to annoy the brainwashed tribalistic group thinkers on here.
Do you mean apart from gutting the EPA, raising the national debt by the biblical amount of $8.2T (effectively fueling asset price inflation and adding to inequality), the shameful response to Covid, stacking SCOTUS with venal chancers (leading to presidential immunity and the ending of a woman's right to choose), fawning over Un and Putin (who knows how that affected Putin's Ukraine decision to invade), rampant racist bigotry (Trump quite openly supported white supremacists and still uses KKK hand signs), and, of course, attempting to subvert democracy with an armed insurrection which led to 7 deaths?
You're an idiot.
Donald Trump took credit Wednesday for the elimination of Roe v. Wade, embracing his role in selecting the Supreme Court justices who were instrumental in ending the half-century precedent that protected abortion rights nationwide.
“After 50 years of failure, with nobody coming even close, I was able to kill Roe v. Wade, much to the ‘shock’ of everyone,” Trump, the former president and front-runner for the 2024 Republican nomination, said on his social media platform.
Trump said his actions have “put the Pro Life movement in a strong negotiating position” against proponents of abortion rights, giving himself credit for the various bans that are being advanced by conservatives across the country. More than a dozen states have enacted abortion limits since Roe was overturned last summer.
“Without me there would be no 6 weeks, 10 weeks, 15 weeks, or whatever is finally agreed to. Without me the pro Life movement would have just kept losing,” Trump added.
