The man’s a huge hypocrite.
Anyone know a Labour MP who didnt blag a Taylor Swift freebie?
Thank God we voted out the Tory scum.
More seriously, this is ridiculous isn't it?
If there is anything Labour have stood out on, rightly or wrongly is that they have claimed to be anti austerity.

Hey sludge , genuine question would you be this vocal with your inflammatory rhetoric face to face with a past Tory voter such as myself, if so perhaps rather than hiding behind a keyboard put your money where your mouth is , go on I dare you. If you can’t stop being a childish online troll.
Going after inheritance tax now I see, another deeply unpopular one so should cement the new Tories demise even further, nothing like a bit of cash stress post death/funeral.
No point in working or saving anymore, no point buying a house, they will take it all….spend every last penny in the George Best style I guess…..
You have to laugh at these champagne red rosette mobsters, 4 years of Russian interference claims but are now sending a brigade to Merica to campaign in the elections for knee pads, I'm wondering if the same characters who denied the cheating in the last US election will be crying cheat shortly, vote for no one Goats, they are all Wefers no matter what colour badge, its a rigged game and the people have little say, but the tide is turning slowly.
Ironically, that would be a lot better for the economy than people hoarding wealth until their mid 90s and then passing it on to their 65 year old kids, rinse and repeat.
The only issue I have with changing iht is yet again we are having a conversation about 'raising taxes on the richest' and excluding the actual rich people, whose affairs are organised in a way to avoid paying iht. Similar to any conversations about income tax, NI etc.
IHT is the fairest and most effective tax to stimulate the economy apart from milking the richest. This so called Labour outfit has been very poor thus far but, in my opinion, they could redeem themselves by raising IHT significantly and redistribute the cash to stimulate productivity.
It's not about intelligence though I don't think. The UK is structured in a way where a certain 'class' of people never lose, no matter what the government does. It's a massive job to break that down. The low hanging fruit is the large number of people in the middle who aren't obsessed with money enough to focus their energy or resources towards avoiding tax.
Yes I agree with you but my point was that it wouldn't take a genius for the Government to devise a financial control system whereby large amounts of family cash could be protected until it were appropriately taxed, rather than be fritted away prematurely. The benefits are obvious in terms of redistribution and opportunities to stimulate economic growth. I still believe by the way there should be a punitive wealth tax on the super rich so we probably largely concur.
