Good to hear you made it all the way from Cowbridge to Leckwith yesterday. I believe you. Honestly I do.
I don't care what you believe , I will be sitting in comfort for the Norwich game

I make it to the games by driving , again in comfort

Possibly you will one day stop relying on others to get you around but I doubt it

    You chancer

Eric's a big boy... when he drones on and on about these things he's big enough to look after himself

Unlike yourself , being shorter than Ronnie Corbett

He is a rookie. They are allowed mistakes. The key thing is that they learn from them. Riza has got way right than he has wrong.

The point is football is not an exact science. Managers/Coaches play the margins, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. What they get judged on firstly is results and secondly style of play. Seven points from nine plus 7 goals to one against is good to have on his CV so far if you ignore the 4-1 loss at Hull
It was seen as a bad decision by everyone in the away end as soon as he did it, it was a big mistake

You can only beat what’s in front of you, and City did that in Spades. How are they one of the worst sides?

Why have you developed this bizarre fixation with the fact that I don't drive? Do you regard it as being some sort of an advantage you have over me? It's very odd, but as it's you we're talking about, I guess that's par for the course.

It's also interesting that you've decided to start having a pop at me again despite stating you weren't going to, and you've immediately made it personal too. That's something for you to bear in mind when you start bleating about my responses.

He's doing a good job, and so far I am impressed with the rapid turnaround but he's not a Manager. I think it shows how bad Bulut became rather than how brilliant Riza is. We need to be looking for a long-term experienced Manager. The new novice Manager will often get a honeymoon period. We are on a good run of games. Let's see how we do against WBA, Norwich, Luton, and Blackburn. Then we will have a better idea of where we really are.

It does look like they are warming to giving him more time to see how he does as a Manager without a contract and still looking for a long term appointment, like Mowbray or Bilic.

Not really they've had some good results, they are eleventh on the last six games recent form tables, we played well it was a very good performance and win.

    https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=2

Portsmouth next although they beat lowly QPR we need to batter them and go for the jugular from the start.

It was a brilliant performance by most standards but particularly for us off the back of a few pretty drab seasons of home performances.

Big respect for Riza who set us up perfectly and has certainly got us actually looking like a team.

That is with hindsight. Say Riza had not made any changes and Bristol equalized. The same people would be jumping up and down saying he was tactically naive. I like everyone else would have prefered 3 points but a point away was still a very good result

Re: Time to praise Rizza- we are quick enough to criticise

    Last season
    we lost at Hull 3-0
    beat Millwall at home 1-0
    beat Bristol City away 1-0
    drew 2-2 home to Plymouth

    This year
    Lost 4-1
    Win 1-0
    Drew 1-1
    Win 5-0

So bar the very welcome goal fest a pretty much identical record to what we've just sacked

I accept you have made a good point there. Is Riza a good manager or are we seeing a new manager bounce? He has to be given more time to prove himself. Will it work out? Can't say at the moment

Exactly what I said. It's very similar to what we've just sacked. Guess that means I'd still be very cautious about hiring him if we want to improve on last season's achievements

I think it's hilarious that you have given it out to Riza and he's bitten you on the arse 🤣

Keep off the budweiser if you are having driving lessons 🚗

I am playing you by your game, I have put up with crap from you for several years now , way worse than you calling me chubby or me calling you baldy

If you think I have spoken to you on here in the same way you have spoken to me recently then you carry on living in the clouds , no need for it

You were also well over the top about Riza with your chancer nonsense and very quiet after the plymouth win

Let's see how he does eh 😏

Explain how 2 out of the 3 sides that got promoted last season did it with managers that had no previous experience. of championship management. It ain't the be all of prerequisites alot seem to think it is.

Nope. I was in the away end, everyone around me was baffled as soon as he did it and calling for him to change it back as it was clear the momentum had shifted toward Bristol immediately after the change

He made a mistake, it's ok to admit that.

So why you see fit to goad posters after a couple of wins is beyond me.

Gentle teasing and reminders is way different from some stuff

If I jump on your statistics threads ....which are often a very good read ....with a ....

Bloody hell Eric no wonder your missus is out with the girls on the lash every night if all you are doing is banging away on your keyboards !

Then that's obviously light hearted banter and gentle teasing

    There's a difference

I was agreeing with you until you mentioned looking for a long-term experienced manager.

I've learned not to get involved when it comes to suggesting new managers. It's a totally pointless exercise. There are lots of things I'm happy to give opinions on, new managers isn't usually one of them unless I really don't think they're a good fit. Sometimes one person being in charge in one environment just works when there's no reason for it. Lots of managers do well at a particular club, move on, then things don't work out so well elsewhere. It's just one of those things. Maybe, just maybe, our youngsters need a different approach, not someone supposedly "experienced".

Football, sport in general, life in general, will have people who step up to the plate. Good managers have to start somewhere. Eddie Howe, just as an example, was a young coach with no managerial experience when he took over at Bournemouth. Steve Cooper was hardly an experienced club manager when he took over at Swansea. There are lots of examples.

Despite all of this, I reckon whoever gets the job permanently will be sacked within 2 years when things don't work out.

I think he should have said that was a mistake 😕

But maybe he was concerned it would have not looked good

My view is the fans would have mostly admired him for that
