The reality is more and more evidence is coming out that this return to nazi Germany and European anti semitism and programs claim was hyperbole and factually incorrect

The politicians involved have either gone silent on their claims or admitted they were wrong 🤔

Apart from the option of complete denial, you don't have to look very far to find reports like this in the Guardian:

Europe is experiencing “a wave of antisemitism” caused partly by the conflict in the Middle East, the EU’s leading rights agency has said, as it published a survey finding that nearly all respondents reported recent anti-Jewish prejudice.

The survey by the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights found that 96% of respondents had experienced antisemitism in the year before the survey, which was carried out between January and June 2023. A total of 84% considered antisemitism to be a “very big” or “fairly big problem” in their country, while fewer than one in five (18%) thought governments were handling it effectively.

Although the survey – of 8,000 Jewish people aged over 16 – was completed before the 7 October Hamas attacks on Israel that led to ferocious reprisals on Gaza, the Vienna-based agency also collected data from 12 Jewish umbrella organisations. Some of these organisations have reported a 400% increase in antisemitic attacks since October 2023.

“Europe is witnessing a wave of antisemitism, partly driven by the conflict in the Middle East,” the agency’s director, Sirpa Rautio, said. “This severely limits Jewish people’s ability to live in safety and with dignity. We need to build on existing laws and strategies to protect communities from all forms of hate and intolerance, online as well as offline.”

There may have been an increase in anti semitic incidents in recent years and especially since the 7 October 2023 attack. It is hard to tell because most of the reported numbers are distorted and politicised.

Many of the organisations that compile the data on which the news reports are based use a definition of anti semitism that includes references to anti Zionism as anti semitism, and references to Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity as anti semitism. Just look in detail at the 6 monthly reports from the Community Security Trust in the UK!

Many recording organisations are also using a tick box approach against the 'definition' of anti semitism (it is not a definition) that was (re)produced by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance in 2016 - one that equates criticism of Israel with anti semitism.

The Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism was developed to ensure that discussion of anti semitism and whether or not it is one the rise deals with hatred and prejudice against Jewish people for being Jewish, not on opposition to the actions of a murderous, racist state or the ideology that it has adopted.

That has got nothing whatsoever to do with the events in Amsterdam

Here , racist far right tel aviv fans caused trouble in the city centre

Attacked an Arab taxi driver , ripped down Palestinian flags and even set fire to another

A tv news report showed " tel aviv fans being attacked " by masked hooded gangs .....yeah , we know , they meant Muslim gangs

When in fact, It was Jewish tel aviv fans kicking local Arab people around the city centre

    All later confirmed

Wrong story , out right lies

Followed by cries that Amsterdam was returning to the times of nazi Germany!

Absolute nonsense and the fact that the mayor of the city has come out and regretted her use of Jewish witch hunts ......no doubt she was fooled by the totally false news reports......says it all

You could dig deeper into this easily enough but you are a far right pro Israel religious nut case so it's really not worth trying to educate an idiot

This idiot is on about anti semitism in general

Not the claims the events in Amsterdam were a return to the dark times of Jewish hatred and murder in that city

Which we now know were claims embellished by lies from the media and politicians

You are wasting your time and your life engaging with him and his ilk

Calling people idiots probably isn't the best way to engage individuals, assuming that may be your aim?
In fact he was responding to a report on people in Europe which would include Amsterdam, so he wasn't being an idiot.
We would be naive to think that what we are seeing in much of Europe, the Middle East and elsewhere isn't significant.

This was a recent entry in 'Hansard' which included this:

The Minister for Crime, Policing and Fire (Chris Philp)
With permission, I will make a statement on antisemitism in the United Kingdom:-

Last week, the Community Security Trust published its latest report on antisemitic incidents. It made for deeply disturbing reading. It showed that there were 4,103 instances of anti-Jewish racist hatred recorded across the UK in 2023. That is the highest annual total ever reported to the Community Security Trust. It is a 147% rise from the 1,662 antisemitic incidents the previous year, and 81% higher than the previous yearly record of 2,261 incidents, reported in 2021. Most shockingly, more than two thirds of the incidents reported last year occurred on or after 7 October, when Hamas perpetrated its barbaric terrorist attack on Israel.
The report also indicates that antisemitism began spiking before Israel’s military response had begun: the week immediately following 7 October saw 416 antisemitic incidents reported to the CST, which is higher than any subsequent week.

Yes , again let me explain

    Again

This thread is about the alleged violence in Amsterdam before the Tel aviv football game

It's not about anti semitism in Europe in general which is what you have jumped in with

    Totally irrelevant

A few days ago Arabic locals in Amsterdam were attacked by Jewish far right football fans , Palestinian flags were torn down , a flag was burned and a young reporter filming this was threatened by ISRAELI tel aviv fans

Thats what happened before the game

It was reported in the news as "anti Jewish " locals

Which was incorrect ......it was in fact ISRAELI troublemakers

The reporter who actually filmed it e mailed sky news to say the news reports were wrong .....it was Jewish fans causing trouble , not Arabs

And the mayor of Amsterdam who initially said this was reminding her of past anti semitic problems had ADMITTED she was wrong

That's what this thread was about .....you have posted a document on anti semitism in Europe in general which is not relevant at all .....and that's why I remarked to John 1959 that he was wasting his time replying to you as you are in a different state of awareness on matters like this as proved by your irrelevant post
