Think it’s still possible for us to finish third, but six points is the most you could get in a four team group and possibly finish in that position. Add in a goal difference of plus five and the fact we beat one of the teams that would be on six points and it’s hard to see another third place finisher having a better record than us.

League Cup game with Ipswich scheduled for this lunchtime against Ipswich for the Under 21s at Leckwith today, but, just as with the under 18 match at Portsmouth, will it go ahead?

Good to see Tsunoda back. Let's see what he can do.

Whats Ashford doing in this game when weve got two left backs and three defensive midfielders on the bench at Hillsborough?

The highlights of the u-18s game at Portsmouth should be worth watching. We went 3-0 down in stormy conditions, pulled it back to 3-3 (including a goal direct from a corner), they had a player sent off then their keeper made a great save at the end to keep it at 3-3. That's entertainment.

Here they are, just the goals though. Game of two halves this. Good value for all the spectators behind the one goal, if there'd been any. Jake Davies, Jac Thomas and Dan Ola with our goals.

Highlights of the under-21 game v Ipswich here too. I'd back Nyakuhwa to finish a one-on-one with the keeper every time but that would've cost me on Saturday.

Yes, there are a lot of CBs ahead of him.
Positive for the player and the club if we can sell them for some sort of fee if they're not going to progress to our 1st team.

Tsunoda is a strange one - had some good reviews in Belgium before his injury (playing in a bad side) and prior to going there he had been called up to the Japanese national side - yet he doesn't seem to have been in the clubs plans at all.
I can remember someone asking Bulut about him and he said he'd only seen him play once or something like that.
Maybe if he goes on loan *to a decent level* in the second half of the season then we can think about bringing him in next season - maybe let Goutas' contract expire and go with Chambers, Daland, Fish and Tsunoda.?

Of course I trust that we’ve inserted a sell on clause, just in case……our hierarchy are obviously well up on such things.

We've drawn Chesterfield at home in the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup. It's due to be played on December 10th at Leckwith Stadium, 19.00 kick off.

The under 21s are in action this lunchtime at Millwall, kick off 1 o clock. It'll be interesting to see what the team looks like - I seem to be more in favour of Riza staying than most, but his reluctance to use players from the under 21s on the bench for the first team annoys me. Reindorf is the obvious example, but what Ashford was doing playing down here for the under 21s when we had so few attacking options on the bench at Sheffield is baffling (as was the non use of Willock) - there've been times when someone like Kpakip should have been there as well.

Id like to see the u21 players used more as well- as its the only way they will be able to get better amongst other things - however I wouldn't say that Riza was any more reluctant to use them than any of our previous managers - possibly Big Mick aside
