I think Daland and or Fish, and maybe even Reindorf will start the next game.
Sorry mate, Olie Tanner has scored 3 goals and has 3 assist in his CCFC career. In what world is he anywhere near Bowler? Grant gave us championship speed and stamina which is sadly missing. O'Dowda is a left midfielder in a system that doesn't use wide midfielders so the manager doesn't know if he is an attacker or fullback. Robinson hasn't the ability to be a 10 and lost his speed to be a centre forward and Rubin is a deep-lying midfielder but the manager would never trust him there.
We needed an old head, i am not your mate manager. A Mowbrey father figure rather than a trendy big brother who has never demonstrated to have found a solution to a footballing problem as he is totally untried and untested.
There is normally a solution in there and that is why the good ones whatever age hang around, because they are good at this football thing.
I think only Mick McCarthy is like Mick McCarthy.
The lackadaisical press , lack of making options , lack of actually running around made me feel a stick was needed last night .
Not forever but until there was an actual effort shown by the players.
Risa was muted the whole evening . The people round me were doing more shouting....
As individuals we have decent players at this level, last couple of home games Risa hasn't got a tune out of them.
Our recent away performances have been better.
We lack a centre forward, Reindorf, showed why young players arent always the answer, he isnt ready yet..
Bagan on the other hand showed that Risa may not be the answer , he was playing extremely well , a couple of his forward passes were sublime , he got the ball and carried it forward as well . Good reason to hook him I guess?
Tony Mowbray has got a track record of improving teams at this level.
He would do for me .
What was posted after Riza won a few games doesn't reflect the reality of the situation. The truth is some people were going way over the top about a couple of decent performances against two of the very weakest sides in the division and a couple of fortunate results against better sides.
This current City squad isn't a good one. It wasn't a good one last season, and the new recruits are mostly proving a desperate disappointment.
Isn't that because they are lacking good management . Why was there such a furor to get Riza or anyone on a contract?
A good manager should get the best out of the players, I don't feel we are seeing the best of the players.
The away performances have been better than some of the dross we have been served up at home recently.
I'm not so sure.
I had high hopes for Chambers - I thought he'd cope with the Championship comfortably and improve the defence. He hasn't. Not at all.
Daland and Fish are largely unknow quantities - we haven't seen enough of either of them to be sure if they're any good or not.
Given his size, El Ghazi is amazingly lightweight. He's clearly a shadow of the player he once was. Doesn't look like he fancies it to me. Willock, meanwhile, has been a waste of a wage.
Kanga's just a joke of a signing. Utterly hopeless.
Of the new recruits, only Robertson has performed with any genuine credit, and he's clearly got a long way to go before he'd be considered one of the better midfielders at this level. Time is on his side and he has obvious talent, but he has plenty of work to do.
Overall, the summer recruitment was poor. Would a decent manager get more out of those players? You'd hope so, but I suspect the improvements would be marginal based on what we've seen so far.
I don't think that's right. He had almost a year out because Mainz terminated his contract and then he was in dispute with them. He wasn't injured.
He was obviously going to take a little time to get up to speed after such a long lay-off, but he's shown little to suggest there's better to come. You'd hope there would be, but as I've already said - I don't think he fancies it.
