    Heartwarming football related

Just seen two videos within a couple of posts over on X. This first one was Alex Iwobi from Fulham who has opened up a pop up shop in London where those that need it can collect free food for Christmas, including turkeys. The second is the annual Real Betis tradition where fans throw toys on to the pitch at a game this time of year to be given to local children.
There’s a lot of negativity about the game, and huge amounts of money these days but just two examples of how it can be a force for good.

If we were to throw toys on the pitch, the club would have us all banned

Our defence demonstrates incredible acts of generosity towards the opposition, and not just at Christmas.

I saw another video earlier of an NFL quarterback, I think it was Matt Stafford, going to a house of two young boys who’d recently lost their dad. He went in and played video games with them. Truly wonderful to watch.
