    Bobs right. Month on month GDP was up 0.1 in November after two equally small declines in the previous two months. Personally I think the monthly data is a bit small to read too much into it. Quarterly is obviously more comprehensive.

    Inflation fell to 2.5% in December from 2.6% in November. That's good news, although it is still higher than it was from April to October.

    It's right to criticise Labours start to their government IMO, but equally when better news comes through it's important to recognise it

      It must take a heck of a long time for the actions of a new government to trickle through the system whatever - and teasing out what is down to them, the previous regime and global phenomena must be an extremely difficult task.
