Doesn't Cooper have a long term injury?

I'd stick Cullen as a 10 if I were them, trouble is they'd have to play one of the carthorses they signed in the summer

In my opinion a good Championship player who is unfairly maligned by some fans
11 of Ralls' 35 Championship goals (which includes 3 for Yeovil) were penalties. All of those penalties were scored between 2016/17 and 2020/21, which has probably skewed the appearance of his scoring stats a bit. His league goals tallies without penalties are as follows:

    2011/12 - 1 goal
    2012/13 - 0 goals
    2013/14 - 3 goals
    2014/15 - 2 goals
    2015/16 - 1 goal
    2016/17 - 3 goals
    2017/18 - 3 goals
    2018/19 - 0 goals
    2019/20 - 5 goals
    2020/21 - 3 goals
    2021/22 - 1 goal
    2022/23 - 1 goal
    2023/24 - 1 goal
    2024/25 - 0 goals

To be fair the comparison is with Matt Grimes who also takes penalties and corners for them.

    I think he's scored 10.

I think its 4 pens for Grimes so 6 or 7 non-penalty goals?

I see why people take pens out but they still need to be scored, Grimes and Ralls quite different styles of players as well though Ralls has moved deeper over the years

I wasn't looking to draw a comparison with Grimes in this instance - I was merely looking at the apparent change in Ralls' scoring rate.

Personally, I don't think it has too much to do with a slight change of position. I believe it's more down to him playing fewer matches through injury and not taking the penalties now, coupled with the team generally being poorer in attack as a unit in recent years.

Do you remember his penalties? They were poor, he used to strike the ball close to the keeper, they went in, but we're far from convincing. Although I like Joe, he's done well for us and no doubt the club have done well for him.

I think poor is harsh he struck in some decent ones. Far from convincing fair enough.

Put it this way if we have a penalty last game of the season to stay up I hope Ralls is on the pitch because I wouldn't want Callum Robinson taking it.

Re: The Sinking ship down West

A Cardiff boy, now Swansea's captain.

    https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...ssion-30894897

His departure has been greeted with dismay by supporters, and indeed by his colleagues. In fact, the suggestion is it's gone down badly with the rest of the squad.

Insiders who witnessed his farewell at Fairwood on Tuesday have painted the picture of a tense atmosphere within the camp, with some first-team players understood to have been angered by the timing of his exit.

One source claims only three players actually spoke to the outgoing captain before he left. Brilliant

To lose your skipper midway through the season is always a blow. To do so when you're trying to turn around a run of form that's yielded just one point out of a possible 15 is something else altogether. Superb

Those assessments are understandable. After all, Andy Coleman himself once said that the sign of a good window was one where Swansea ended it stronger than when they started. At the moment, it's hard to see how that happens, particularly after losing someone of Grimes' calibre. Tidy

The player they have signed has to be loaned back

Will he play? I love how badly they turn on anyone who leaves the place, I guess he only spent a mere 10 years there. Lovely people

Why do they take it so badly when a player leaves? Nothing but vitriol, we seem to be the opposite. https://x.com/onlyswanss/status/1885...LTsVTx09ZSEfIA

I think it’s been going on for years even in their ‘glory days’…..it’s hardly surprising is it, got a bit of cash in the bank and your stuck in that dump….

that tweet doesn't seem too unreasonable to be fair, plenty of city fans on here still annoyed with Ledley as well

I don't think it sounds bad either.

I've never really heard that re.Ledley. I was disappointed to see him go, perhaps more than usual as he's a Cardiff lad etc, but I had no qualms about him wanting to go to a massive club like Celtic

Didn't he let his contract run down so he could go on a free ? City missed out on a big payday. I think that had something to do with it..

Yes, though I found most of the ill-feeling towards him for that tended to be on here and not among other fans I know/knew at the time.

FAW looking at getting the residency rules changed so Grimes can play for Wales according to WOL. Swansea fans will love that.
    Would make Ralls eligible too.
