I did my degree at Portsmouth Poly between 1984 and 87 and went to quite a few games at Fratton Park. I haven't been back since.
The 86/87 season saw Pompey promoted to the first division, but I think they came straight back down the following season.

I live down here now but missing Tuesday as I’ll be in France with work , though my 2 boys are going. Very frustrating to be missing my easiest game of the season!

Same for me John. 82-85 and been a few times since. I couldn’t believe it when The other Bob Wilson said we,ve only played there 7 times since 1974. I must have been to most of those games. But I’m flying back from Gran Canaria this evening so will be knocking my phone on at Bristol Airport preying for a positive result!!
