Maybe he shouldnt wait, Burnley werent that good, we gave them far too much respect
We have enough attacking players in our squad to take the game to them

Maybe hes tried thinking about it like its a chess game (4 wins in 22) if I was him Id plan out exactly how he wants to play, then do the opposite!!!

We need to go at them looking to win it, and if we dont then a point will be decent

Setting up to contain them doesnt work for us, we just cant defend

If we could defend and shithouse our way to a 1 nil we probably would here.

But we can't defend so I just see a comfortable defeat and we move on to Luton.

You could see the quality in the Burnley players . In the end we ran them close .

Most enjoyable season for me in a long time , youngsters coming through , mostly good signings we could possible develop and make a shilling off .

But enough of that nonsense ,lets think of something negative .....

We're 21st, you don't have to look very far for a negative

I am sure you can do better than drop down to that level .

I love the fact that we have youngsters coming through Jimmy, although Id rather see a team built around them than sell them on

Im with you on the recent signings as well, its one of if not the best January windows in years

Salech looks like a great signing and hes exactly what weve been missing since Moore, a centre forward who can score goals and has a lot more to his game as well, he could go on to be the steal of the season

The negative tactics of lets sit tight, hold them off and catch them on the break is what Im referring too

It doesnt work and it hasnt worked, which is why we have only won 4 out of the last 22 games

We either dont have the players or the system to make it work for us.

I genuinely believe we have the players to go out and attack a team, and thats what we should be doing, playing to our strengths, never mind how good they are and what they can do, lets have a good go at them

If throwing caution to the wind makes us a more dangerous attack minded team what do we have to lose?

As it stands 4 wins out of the last 22i is where we are currently, so what were doing isnt exactly working!

I think a more experienced coach would have got a better tune out of this squad
Thats just my opinion and not a fact

Last season we finished 12th, and for the first time in donkeys years I seriously thought about renewing my ST , I was bored shitless watching the dross that was on offer.

Is the football more entertaining this season, of course it is,

Is our squad better than last year?

I believe it is, but the league table doesnt lie and whatever way you slice it and dice it, we havent risen above 17th in the league this season and there has to be a reason why thats the case!

Ill renew my ST next season, but I know a few who arent that fussed

Lets hope we see a good run in for the remainder of the season and some of those promising youngsters get a chance to get some much needed game time under their belts!

I’m praying we get through this season unscathed. Of course we’re still not setting the world on fire but there’s definitely something there lately to give us, perhaps even more than, a glimmer of hope. For me, I’m enjoying going down the City a lot more lately and despite the result I thoroughly enjoyed the second half against Burnley, enjoyed it more than some of the few wins we’ve eked out.

We do need a new management team though, not just a manager. I believe a decent manager, backed up by his own trusted staff could get more than a decent tune out of the current crop and with a few additions the future could look considerably brighter.

And I'm certain you can do better than this constant holier-than-thou 'positivity' and your frequent, sanctimonious dismissals of anyone and anything you perceive as being negative.

I'm pretty sure everyone is aware by now that you're enjoying this season. As it happens, I'm enjoying it too, especially by comparison to the boring crap that was served up under Bulut for most of last season. However, the truth is we're 21st in the Championship table. We had the worst start to a league campaign in the club's entire history. We recently suffered our heaviest league defeat in my lifetime. As things stand, only two sides in this division have a worse goal difference than us. Only one team has a worse defensive record. And we've won just one of our last six league matches.

Those are not opinions. Those are just the facts. Something for you to ponder while you're dismissing people as being negative.

Sunderlands recent home form is pretty mediocre, if we start the game how we ended against Burnley we can definitely get something from this.

Would be a bit of a statement going into the Luton game to have gotten something from Sunderland and be the first team in 13 games to score against Burnley all in a week.

Bagan centre half alongside Goutas. It is an attacking line up
