As it goes Damned if they do, Damned if they don’t
But fans love a good rant, doesnt matter if its based on nothing. Especially if its a Tan bashing,

I mean they could approach some uk-based managers with their finger on the pulse of championship football who are less likely to die in the post?

I dont really believe it tbh.

He's 77. Also, why would he lie? He was annoyed it has come out and he didn't bring it up.

Penarth Kev would have had a field day in his Deep In The Bowels series.

This board used to be brilliant.

Im sure he was approached, informal suggests it would be anyone, the club, an agent, media, someone testing the waters.

Testing the waters of a 77 year old. I don't care whatever way you spin it, this is absolutely mental.

I think you are over-reacting. He could have done a good job playing in our defence.

Tan approached him after his attempt to bring in Brian Clough failed.

Exactly. This story is obviously nonsense. Its a clear conspiracy to discredit Vincent Tan and derail Citys bid to stay in the Championship that is being orchestrated by a random bunch of Dutch and Scottish journalists.

How dare they? Bastards, the lot of them

Is there any hope for us under this regime? 77 years old! These guys are clueless.

Wasn't he sacked from Rangers for having a drug problem?

this seems like sounding out an experienced old hand who might be prepared to take over until the end of the season and then walk away .
no up and coming championship manager would sign up for that

No denial of the story from the club yet as far as I'm aware - do we take it that if there's not one by tonight, then it's true?

Ordinarilly, a club would be best advised to ignore such a ridiculous sounding story, but the problem is that, at Vincent Tan's Cardiff City, it sounds nowhere near as absurd as it would if, say, Bristol City were offering Advocaat the manager's job.

It would be more than a little odd for a 77 year-old Dutchman to confirm the story if it wasnt true. It seems so random.

I presume theyve exhausted the idea of bringing someone decent in to keep us up and stay next season then?

So bring someone in whos 77, semi retired and chilling in the Caribbean to manage a relegation fight.

Bobby Gould is also available and his wife says he can come

If it's true which I doubt, Tan deserves to lose all his money.

Bacuna plays for him in the Curacao side - maybe it was all a big plan to bring him back to Cardiff!
