Asian Premier League 'fan' base is huge.

Their sponsorship helps to sell incredible quantities of energy drinks, and now beers apparently.

Cheaper option than sponsoring the FA Cup?

Longest running sponsor of the 'League' cup since 2017 ... just signed up for another 3 years.

I have seen it for sale in the UK, I don't remember where though, possibly in London.
I didn't buy it as all those energy drinks are revolting.

They did. It was my first game at the CCS and the only Premier League game I've ever been to. 0-3 after about 25 minutes.

Ive just had a look at the details. It was Malky Mackays last game. He was sacked the following day. Southamptons goals came from Jay Rodriguez (2) and Rickie Lambert. The Saints side included two young defenders named Luke Shaw and Callum Chambers.

Same reason lots of teams are sponsored by Asian online bookies and casinos.

Asian people watch a lot of UK football.

In fact gambling adverts are not allowed in
some Asian countries so its a way of getting around that and getting seen on tv there.
