What is the point in VAR if that isn't given as a red.?

I cant stand Liverpool but that tackle is shocking.

You wonder why anyone ever thought another referee in a booth with a 30 second window to rewatch things would ever be less subjective than the referee on the field. For cut and dry letter of the law decisions sure, everything else is just introducing another set of opinions and biases and mistakes.

The PGMOL have admitted, that the tackle merited a red card and it should have been reviewed by the referee. When I saw the tackle on MOTD, I thought straight away, Tarkowski should have been sent off.

Shouldn't have to rely on VAR for that, it was a disgusting tackle and the ref should have shown some bottle and sent him off immediately.
