Thread: New protest!

    New protest!

    Dont shoot the messenger.
This is a copy & paste from the other forum

OK, the call and clamour for protest has now been voiced loud and clear by so many, , it can't be ignored.

The first march was a success in terms of numbers up to the ground, then dispersed at the vital time when we needed to show solidarity at the front entrance to the stadium. This time, the march and all those interested in protesting NEED TO GET TO THE FRONT ENTRANCE and make your voices heard.

If you dont protest now, you will NEVER protest. If you feel we should be supporting the team and the club, we will be, inside the ground. Lets make this clear, we are NOT against the team, we never have been, we are Cardiff City fans for goodness sake. We are against the theatrical running of the club, its non existent owners, the lack of leadership, the lack of knowledge and understanding shown by the board, and most of all the apathy shown in terms of understanding what success looks like, what the club mean to the fans, and our history. Not our colour change, but our history as being a club that no team fancied visiting, that no away fans fancied visiting. We can have an intimidating atmosphere but still behave and stay within the law.

You can only support the team but more importantly YOUR CLUB.... BY PROTESTING. Please do not show the apathy that is shown by the board. Please do not sink to their level.

What we ask? Your support, in numbers. How much do you want change? We need to make the Swansea march small by comparison. As I have said, if you dont march or protest now you never will. Banners, flares (Not to be taken into the ground), voices, passion, feeling and a definite mindset that the board should either go or adequately invest, change their ways, and employ football people in footballing positions within the set up.

I will add to this daily if I can. Work has been a nightmare for me, with the added pressure of redundancy rearing its ugly head. I cannot do this, and the group that put together the amazing Swansea march cannot do this on our own.

Bring your Tan Out Scarves, make your banners. Banners are incredibly cheap to make. Please buy your material at Hillside Fabrics in Beddau. Cheap as chips. Get them printed with whatever you want at Re-Inspire Printing Treforest Industrial Estate. (And No, I'm not on any commission)

    Start? Admiral Cowbridge Rd East
Meeting time? 90 Minutes Prior to Kick off
March End Point? THE FRONT OF THE ENTRANCE TO THE CARDIFF CITY STADIUM.

We want our club back, we want our fans back, we want Cardiff City back. Yes, we want Riza gone, and yes, the board needs to go or invest and change dramatically.

I'll be updating this thread with a message from Dan tomorrow. I'll also show you messages that the Tan out Group have sent to the club requesting meetings which have been totally ignored. We have had promises, promises, promises from the club, but have heard nothing regarding airing our views and those of the fans.

I'd encourage the FAB and the Supporters Trust and the Supporters Club to get behind us. You are true fans like everyone else. Your support is vital. We extend a hand of friendship, and solidarity. It is an extraordinary situation for you within these organisations and not easy to have the courage of your convictions, yet you guys are pivotal to change.

Tan will take notice. Will he do anything ? Possibly not, but if we dont show where our own hearts lie, we are giving him the green light to continue his demolition and dismantling of our club.

Please, reply with a Yes or a No? Will you protest? Will you bring your banners, scarves, flares and voices?

    Re: New protest!

This is also a copy from the same guy called Jonny L.
I’ve no idea who he is except that he’s a passionate fan and part of the Tan Out group ….

This time I would want the support of Mike Morris site...... They wanted to be included last time, and were not 'kept out' for any reason, but the engagement with them could have been better on my part. I cannot though, sign up to their board? It says something like 'Failed image during registration'? Yet, Ive not included any images!

If anyone is on Mike Morris board too can you maybe cut and paste my message to their site asking for support and begging for forgiveness!

Sorry, the game was in the heading of the post which I didn’t copy and paste.

    It’s for the Oxford match.

Yes, think we need a protest before every home match at least.

    Re: New protest!

Do the Tan Out Group offer any ideas as to who comes in to replace him?

    Re: New protest!

Good number up until the ground? could it just be that a lot of them were just walking to the ground then? I mean its a busy route anyway.

    Re: New protest!

We should get tennis balls on the pitch like many other clubs do. Disrupt the match, it's easy to ignore when it's outside

Is this the right time whilst were in a relegation battle?

They absolutely could, but I don't think most of us would be happy with their choice.

For that reason we should protest at every home game until the end of the season

Seems like a good guy, and good on him for finding the time and energy to organize something he believes in with the awful threat of redundancy hanging over him. I'm still not convinced that a blanket "TAN OUT" approach is that helpful though. Take away the guy who keeps us afloat and we owe money to and what happens then?

    Re: New protest!

I was all over the rebrand protests and marches etc. must have stuck 50 "Bluebirds Unite" stickers around the city and went to several meetings about it - mainly in pubs.

But I can't say I'm feeling this one. Tan is a knob but I'm not totally sure what we are protesting and what might replace him?

    Re: New protest!

Id be willing to join a Tan rethink your ridiculous managerial appointments protest but someone said we were the 7th highest payers and have wasted umpteen M. Is that really saying he has under invested?

    "What do we want?"
"Tan to keep investing significant amounts of money into the club as the alternative could be a worse owner and/or financial strife, but to take a back seat, sack Dalman and Choo and let someone with a proven track record of successfully running football clubs, making sensible managerial appointments and listening to fans run his club!"
    "When do we want it?"
    "Now!"

Posts like this just prove Tan picked the right club for his ego trip.

12 years on and people still think he is a saviour for paying off the mess he has created himself. Amazing

Tan, I'm fed up of waiting for you to change, please hire competent staff and leave the running of the football club to those with the required experience not car salesman isn't quite as snappy as Tan Out

    Re: New protest!

Something needs to change but we all know who will be front and centre of any march and for that reason I won't be taking part.
