Despite being nervous about having an unproven manager at a time when we needed stability, I always wanted him to succeed and for him plenty of time, but I've completely turned against him.
How dare he say the fans are clueless!?
Going to watch football these days is a commitment of time and money, and we're entitled to our views.
Arguably, we are the most informed fans in history with all the analysis and access to information we have about the game these days.
The man has no respect for himself by the way he presents himself in appearance and in the media and certainly no respect for us.
Whatever the result tomorrow, he needs to go ASAP so that the incumbent manager will get a few extra valuable weeks with the players going into pre-season.
He's on par with Steve Morison, for me.

Every club is the same. We all react to things. It's what fans do.
It's also what riza seems to do. Which is why someone coming on and doing OK means they start next game.
The scary part for me was he said he needs to learn to STOP reading the comments etc.... as he's realised some of the fans are clueless.
Well why on earth was he reading them in the first place?! Was it curiosity or was he actually hoping for some tactical insight?!
As I say he's so reactionary himself it wouldn't surprise me at all if he has previously picked his teams based on Facebook comments and he's now resentful of the fans for his failures.
If you are reading this Omer maybe spend a bit more time on set plays at both ends of the pitch and less time on insta yeah?
An excerpt of his press conference popped up on Facebook earlier. The first comment asked: Is he living rough now?

You ask the one question that arises from this affair more than any other - what on earth is he doing reading all of the comments from City fans as he claims? Any manager/player who religiously reads what’s being said about them on social media is asking for trouble because it’s never going to end well for them.
It seems Riza wants unconditional support from the fans and he’ll get that from some, but not many, City diehards. If he gets around to reading this message, I would urge him to read up n our home form over the last five seasons - we’re in a position where we’re going to lose more than we win at home this season, just like we have done in three of the previous four campaigns. The one exception to this pattern was last season when we won ten and lost ten. Therefore, our most successful home season since 19/20 is one where we managed to win as many as we lost, yet I would argue that at the start of every season a manager’s minimum requirement would be that their team win more than they lose on their own pitch.
We’ve not done that once since the pandemic and I defy any set of home supporters not to be affected by such an abysmal record over such a long period of time. Patience is going to wear thin and, in many cases, this will be reflected in the social media comments they make. There is never going to be the sort of universal and unconditional support for the team in the manner that Riza appears to want - especially at a club that has been run in what I’ll call such an eccentric manner by our owner since 2010.
Living in England, near Cambridge, I seem to have subconsciously opted to only watch City in away matches.
Maybe the home form over the last few years has finally worn me down.
I watch them on the TV weekly, and it usually vindicates my ...subconscious...decision.
I was going to come over to watch the Stoke game, but in hindsight I'm glad I didn't.
It's a sad state of affairs that will accumulate in seeing us finally drop down the league.

No one with a moral compass should be on X any more full stop.
Some people mock when a fan brings up his appearance but to present himself like he does as the main representative of the club is unacceptable. Perhaps it reflects his chaotic mind given his team selections.
As a fan base we have shown remarkable patience in the last few years. The home performances are nothing short of dreadful.

At this stage of this depressing season, given the size of the hole were in, you would expect every person involved in the running of the club to be issuing rallying cries, calls for everyone to pull in the same direction, incentives to fill the stadiumetc etc
His comments fly in the face of all that.
Ill-judged, arrogant, and ignorant of every sacrifice fans have made this season whilst enduring the turgid football he has served up.
Show some respect Omer by (1) owning up to your failings, and (2) resigning.
He’s looked like a broken man from the last few press conferences.
If you want to be a top level football coach / manager you really shouldn’t be reading social media and you need to develop a thicker skin.
On here you see a poster making a point , somebody disagrees and then it develops, quite a few of the regular posters seem to take umbrage if you have the temerity to disagree with them and keep going until they think they’ve “won”. Riza seems to be adopting that approach in his media interviews and that won’t end well.
He is in a high profile role and needs to ignore social media , it certainly looks like it has taken its toll on him from his appearance. As also already mentioned maybe reading comments is also affecting what sometimes seems to be very haphazard team selections and substitutions

Agree with this too, though he could also have done with some support from our Owner, Chairman and CEO who have remained very conspicuous by their absent of any sort of comment / support / rallying call etc
Since Tan took over really, guess we should be grateful for those two fantastic seasons in the sunshine……I’m amazed we have any fans left sometimes, I guess we are just used to adversity so it rolls off the shoulders

No one more sensitive than football fans. Can spend every day calling players/managers useless, crap, clueless, lazy, greedy, whatever else but if someone says a thing back to them then they wet the bed. And yes we spend our money on the club, but that's a choice, the club is not a public service that's taxed, it's our hobby. If the manager's getting dog's abuse online and bites back, who cares, you only have to read a random ten comments on here to see he's probably right, let alone on Twitter.
No doubt there are ridiculous comments online but he needs to arise above that and not expend time and energy worrying about it

The fact that he trawls through social media comments is really bizarre. Lots of them are clueless but he's made the classic mistake of thinking Twitter fans are the fans, forgetting the 90% who don't use it.
Then he goes and blurts it out loud.
He's a clown, miles out of his depth.
