I'm on acceptance.
Was bloody angry with Riza. But accepting relegation now
Acceptance. With some anger and depression mixed in.
Accepted it weeks ago. Now pretty excited for us to be playing against new teams, and most likely see us win a few more games and concede less goals. It isn't the end of the world, we'll all still go down or watch them online / on tv and if we start well we'll probably all forget about this season pretty quickly.
As a London based city fan I am ecstatic I don't have to do my obligatory trips to Watford, Millwall and QPR anymore and can go to at least Orient and pending playoffs maybe Charlton and Wimbledon which will be if anything a nice change of scenery.
I live in Portsmouth, the fans I know are so excited and happy with how their team have performed and avoided the drop into the “abyss of league one” as one guy told me last night. They are particularly raving about Josh Murphy’s performances and also Marlon Pack.
This is just adding to my current depression!
What are you talking about? We're not going down. So, denial.
Frustration that an opportunity which should have set the club up as, at the very least, top half Championship/bottom six Premier League standard has been completely wasted to the extent that, fifteen years later, weve got a much worse team that is almost certain to be relegated to a division we were in no danger of dropping into when Tan arrived and have far bigger debts as well.
The fact that what is happening now has been inevitable for the last few years given the way the club has been run means Im probably less angry than I should be - Ive been resigned to it since the Luton game.
I’m angry at Tan. Not surprised at the non performance of the chuckle bothers. Disappointed for the fans.
Questioning where the club will go to from here.
I'm all out of ****s to give
The final nail……
I'm deluded. I still think we'll stay up..The pope's first miracle.
Apart from odd highlight here and there (don't ask me for details) The last 10-11 years have been abysmal. Tan hasn't been seen with his pants up around his tits for over a decade. I would happily swap him out for some fantasy hero types from Hollywood.
Im now of an age, where the City, and football in general is getting less appealing by the day. I can honestly say, at the moment, it wouldnt bother me a jot if we went into free fall all the way to non league.
As someone further up the thread has already said, I have no more sh*ts to give.
Im not sure it will alter alot for me, I'll still drive the 2 hours for home games, still be running late and have to find somewhere silly to park, still pop into ASDA for a snack for the drive home
Championship or L1, really doesnt matter to me
so I guess ive accepted it
Very sad as I never thought i would see us back in Div 3 after all these years.
Such a wasted opportunity.
This is how I feel, week to week it doesn't actually change that much. I'm concerned at how a prolonged stay could affect the club in terms of the academy or people losing their jobs but I'll still go, sit in my seat, chat to my mate, mostly have a good time. It's not like we're used to champagne football and are now going to have to lower our standards a great deal. Might even be fun.
On reflection, it feels like someone has died…..it’s weird.
This with a shake of my head and disbelief, although I should know better at my age.
After the way the season ended last year I couldnt believe we kept the manager on, once hed gone why didnt the club go after the best manager they could afford?
Weve avoided or scrapped by, for too many seasons, with the money spent it looks like the owner has missed a real opportunity to have turned us into a lower Premier League team and sold us on for a significant profit!!!
Ive always joked to my family that if I won the lottery Id buy my local pub
The first thing Id do is employ the best landlord and staff I could, to run it, not because Im afraid of hard work, just the reality that I know absolutely nothing about running a successful pub business
If I owned it I would want it to be successful!
From reading a lot of the posts I think a lot of our fans think theyre at acceptance. I think I am.
I actually think though a lot are in denial stage.
Talks of a reset, refresh, well be back, etc. Almost like whats happening is a blip.
The fact that we wont change and prepare very quickly for life in league one will mean we arent well equipped. Lets be honest we are probably a month or two from getting a manager. Ramsey will be our least-shit option. Teams will want to beat us. Plenty of teams will be better than us, with more fight. Teams with squads better suited to the league. Our better players will get low bids and well accept them.
The early part of next season is likely to hit some
of our fans like a ton of bricks. I reckon anger stage will hit around the October time.
Im afraid to say it but I think things will get a lot
worse yet before they get better. The club is a toxic shambles from top to bottom. It just hasnt fully sunk in yet
