So...if we somehow win against WBA...

..does it definitely go to the last day of the season?

  2. #2

Re: So...if we somehow win against WBA...

Yes, because Derby are playing Hull on Saturday.

Yeah will go down to last game with a win. If (lol) we win both, below is what we need elsewhere...

    Two of the followimg

Hull to lose both (Home v Derby, Away v Pompey)

Derby not to win either of their last two (Away v Hull, Home v Stoke)

Luton to lose one of their last two (Home v Coventry, Away v West Brom).

Oxford to lose both (Home v Sunderland, Away to Swansea) note; We'd need one of the 4 games involving us or Oxford to be by more than 1 goal.

Would be peak City to win the next two comfortably and still be relegated.

I have no idea why but I feel like the most likely teams to overhaul are Hull & Oxford (somehow). Oxford with their goal difference and arguably difficult last 2 whilst a home defeat for Hull would put huge pressure on a trip against a side that's very strong at home. I just can't see Derby losing to Stoke

Chambers with a 94th minute pelanty

Stoke have thrown in the towel after beating us, they will lose to Derby, Sunderland seem to have gone off the boil too as rubbish as Oxford are they will probably win somehow. Hull v Derby is the tough call…..still, just forget it all, it’s much easier to assume we are already gone bar a miracle that never happens to Cardiff city fc.

There is one scenario where City Oxford and Luton could all end up on 49 points, and with the same goal difference (of -20 for example).

How is the relegation spot determined then?

If it's head to head - we lose against both !!

We had the worst start to a league season in the club's entire history. We suffered our heaviest since the mid-Sixties. We've won just once in our last ten games, and we've had fewer wins than anyone else in the division.

Nevertheless, with two games to go, we still haven't been relegated.

    That's crazy.

Ten games to go the change to Rambo and we would have pissed it, this is so frustrating, how Tan and Co couldn't see Riza was out of his depth both on the touchline and in the press conferences God only knows.

A fool and their money are soon parted.

Goals scored. We'd be ok in that scenario

or for all the other results to go our way, and we mess it up against Norwich

Birmingham beat Norwich on the final day last season but went down...

With 51 points? There's every chance Plymouth could finish bottom with 49.

If you consider that both Derby and Luton have picked up a lot of points in the last 8 games too it’s even more remarkable

Yeah derby are safe. Luton on a charge also and will be safe. Hull will drop and the only team we could catch is Oxford if we won both games.

    Here's one for you all

    We win both games.

    Oxford lose to Sunderland.

They are 3 0 down to the jacks after 94 mins but staying up on GD. The jacks get a penalty if they score it makes it 4 0 and sends Oxford down on GD and we stay up. Do they score it?

Score they make the playoffs but send Oxford down instead of us……they’d still miss it
