Noooooo no more please![]()
As long ago as August I was fearing this could be the fixture where we are relegated. But...Baggies unlikely to make the play offs so, hopefully, they are mentally on the beach. And, Mowbray has gone. Pick n shovel.
The funeral…….black tie?![]()
Would be better if all games kicked off same time this stage of season.
Feeling pretty down at moments. Like most fans. Wish the bloody season was over.
Absolutely.
If Luton were to lose somehow then we would know a win takes us up a place and with derby and hull playing each other we would have a chance of catching one of them on the last day. That would be all to play for.
If Luton win it will crush everyone right away.
I've just had a look at West Brom's away record. They haven't won an away game since 10th November, when they recorded a 2-1 victory at Hull. Their away record since then is:
P 14, W 0, D 7, L 7
That sequence includes creditable draws at Leeds, Burnley, Sheffield United and Sunderland. However, it also includes losses at Derby and Plymouth.
Derby and Plymouth were 'up for it'. Will we be?
All the other teams fighting to survival have dug out wins since the international break. We haven't. If (my aunty had balls etc ) we had won just two from the last six games played, say v Stoke and Oxford, the table would have made far better reading.
Potential relegation has been a season in the making but we could have almost fixed it in those two crucial games and that would have seen us going into these next two matches with a whole new confidence.
You look at how the other sides at the bottom have reacted to the imminent threat of relegation over the past month or so and you can easily imagine some of them winning matches like Luton, Blackburn, Sheffield Wednesday, QPR, Preston, Stoke and Oxford. Apart from Blackburn, we've failed to win any of these games - we've had a very sympathetic run in to the season and have not been good enough to take advantage of it.
All the stats don't lie.
We are not gonna suddenly get back to back wins, we struggle with back to back accurate 5 yard passes.
Seems like they were going pretty well before Corberan left and Mowbray just wasn't a good fit. Probably another draw.
That's what I'm thinking, especially as they have the second-highest number of draws in the division but haven't drawn any of their last six.
The draws table looks like this:
19 - Preston
18 - West Brom
16 - Bristol City
16 - Burnley
16 - Cardiff City
14 - Norwich City
14 - QPR
14 - Stoke
A draw for City won't be enough to take it to the final game unless Derby and Luton both lose.
do we start with the same team that started against Oxford, on the basis that the subs didn't improve us
potentially out Alves in for Ashford?
