They are owned by one of the biggest and most successful sporting franchises in the world. If their aim is to challenge the big boys, then it's going to happen.

    When did that happen?

Last season. They also own the San Francisco 49ers, and Red Bull are on board too.

The big boys are owned by Petrostates, Leeds aren't going to challenge them

Mate, Nottingham Forest are already challenging the Petrostates On a serious note, the success of the 49ers speaks for itself, and don't rule out the influence of Red Bull. They have extensive talent scouting networks, academies, and a hierarchy of feeder clubs to progress their talent. I wish they had shown an interest in Cardiff, we'd have been well on our way.

It’s ’red’ that kicked off the division between fans & club!

So they got relegated straight away under them?

By your logic Petrodollars City should have been running away with the Premier League this season, and every other season. BTW, it was an agreement to take over the club and it still had to go through the EFL vetting process. However I agree that Leeds should have been promoted as the manager inherited a squad that was more than good enough to do it. Football is a funny old game, hey.

They've won 6 of the last 7 years so this is a bit of a weird example

Yeah….weird. All I recall is Leeds having to sell a good few players last year to balance the books, huge wage bill too. That usually gets yiu up with a decent manager. Something we’ve rarely ever had.
