I listened to it myself but I'm not of the loony fringe who believe that he was part of a conspiracy and that the WEF is taking over the world. It wasn't mentioned in the programme but a lot of the loony accusations directed at him and those researching COVID were also raised during the AIDS epidemic (which was initially considered bogus by the loony fringe).
Accusations included that the origin of AIDS was covered up, that it was developed by US scientists and used on prisoners, that it was harmless etc. Needless to say, religious nutters in the States considered AIDS to be due to the so-called 'Divine', of course.
As Fauci says himself, it's best to keep an open mind regarding possibilities where data is partial or imperfect - but the loonies swallow lock stock and barrel almost any any old bollocks that raises its head on American conspiracy websites (although, curiously, I can't recall many examples of visitors to those website readers downing bleach regarding COVID).
As for the WEF stuff: it was always a nonsense to think a bunch of old blokes will profit from destrying the world's economy years down the line - and the fact is that oligarchs have already taken over the world. Putin and his chorts, Zuckerberg, Musk, multi-national companies, political friends of the latter, despots, theocracies and major landowners around the globe are happily in situ and would laugh at such a scenario, I'm sure.
I'm not naive to think that cover-ups don't exist and that there isn't widespread subterfuge in the world and even at home - but just swalling everything posted on the net without any data is rather silly.
