Thread: Jordan hugall

    Jordan hugall

    What's he up to now?

I think he'd be a worthy signing for us up front

33 and scored 1 goal for Rotherham last season

Exactly the kind of signing we shouldn't be making

So let me get this right, you've picked the one position where we actually have some strength in depth, and suggested a signing who scored one goal at league one level from 27 games last season?

Move over Paddy Deboys, a new king is in town.

Paddy Deboys signed 3 centre halves last season, and they were all equally terrible. A true rival to Deboys' ineptitude has been discovered.

Harsh on Daland, he was clearly worse than the other two and worked hard to be so

Ha, that is true. I think he's a genuine contender for the worst signing we've ever made

    Re: Jordan hugall

    Salech
    Robinson
    Etete
    Davies
.. even Reindorf and Simic (stab in the dark)

Technically that should be enough firepower for league one even if Robinson or Salech move on

I genuinely think just a good manager is all we need

If Salech and Robinson leave that’s enough firepower in League 1….to take us down to League 2.

Unfortunately won’t be able to rely on Isaak to be fit for more than half the games and the rest are shite: Etete couldn’t even get in the Bolton side who threw away play offs after his arrival and Reindorff couldn’t get a look in at a relegated Bristol Rovers.

RIZA wasn’t wrong when he said our fans are clueless.

Strength in depth is stretching it

I said if ONE left, not both - clearly if both leave we’d need to replace.

Who took a piss on your team this morning?

Awww that will make all the difference.

Salech or Robinson, an injury prone Davies and the rest have about as much firepower as a damp squib. League 1 is already shitting itself.

Birmingham apparently want Salech, and Wrexham has shown interest in Robinson.

We can't afford to lose either.

We need pace and physicality in almost every position, some defenders who actually want to defend, wingers that can score and create, a centre mid that can actually play football in one or two touches rather than 15, a pair of full backs and a keeper. We need major surgery.

If we were to stay in this divison then yes, i'd totally agree.

I appear to be well in the minority here but I think our squad was more than capable of staying in the division we were just booted out from and should easily be able to mount a challenge next year. We were just beset with poor managers, naiive tactics and then a stench of malaise and panic which maybe could point to the team being mentally not up to the challenge.

If we sort the management and coaching out who can get the most out of the team, maybe bring in some natural leaders to toughen up mentally and I think we'll be ok.

Really? You'd take Ollie Palmer and Jay Rodriguez over Salech & Robinson?

Context. We were talking strength in depth. You’ve just compared their 3rd or 4th choice and 6th choice strikers with our 1st and 2nd choice.

Do I think Smith, Marriott, Rodriguez, Fletcher, Mullen and Palmer has more depth to it at L1 level than Salech, Robinson, a talented but unfortunately injury prone Isaak Davies, Kion Etete and Michael Reindorff. Yes, I absolutely do.

Only one of those had a good scoring record for a team that won promotion last season. All of those are likely on decent money for the division, are old, can only play a certain way and won't be able to be sold on.
