Exactly right. I've no idea why people think a prawn sandwich is some middle class luxury. It's bargain basement fodder.

A bit like people using "vanilla" to mean plain. It's even in UK law in relation to debt. It's hard to think of anything more exotic than vanilla.

10 mins added time . 9 of which will be this Man City team going nowhere.

    Really.🤣

They don't look like they could score if they played another 90.

Seems incredible now, but we had fifteen points more than Palace in the season they got promoted - let’s have a look at what you could have won.

Great for the fans. Always just makes me jealous that we couldn't quite make it happen.

Correct 👍 That was magic. Well done Palace.

    Glad Palace won. Well done.

Great to see a new name on the trophy instead of the boring same old clubs for which the cup is fairly meaningless.

Should have been, but equally Silva was diving a good half second before any contact on the penalty.

Pep is turning into a right whiny kent now he's not sweeping all before him.

I remember when the FA cup was a whole day event and meant something.

It means a hell of a lot to those Palace fans.

They’ve have done really well to stay there ever since too, no big dramas like with our resident idiot in control. Glad they won today

They had a worse start to the season than us. We had 4 points after 8 games, they had just 3.

The decline of the FA Cup is down to numerous factors such as the huge number of European games, the Premier League, the increased importance placed on league games at all levels, too much football (both on and off TV) in general, the play-offs system, the lack of FA Cup prize money, etc.

Here's a question for everyone: if you could only watch one, which game would you prefer to watch - the FA Cup final or the Championship play-off final?

That reminds me of what I thought was a very good edition of "Jim'll Fix It" broadcast prior to the cup final. It featured the making of the match ball and its journey to Wembley. I was no great fan of Savile because of his enormous conceit but thought he was good with the kids! Perhaps I should have posted this in the "What did you get wrong" thread.

You’ve just got to stay up one season and push on from there. One time we were close.

We can build back from here. I’ve not given up hope. One day we’ll be there celebrating - and I don’t mean for the Papa John’s or whatever it’s called now

So a team that has never won a major competition before wins their first cup, beating the most successful side in recent history in the final. Seems like there's a little bit of magic left in it yet despite some grumpy old men on here

Yeah, but the game kicked off at 4:30pm, so it’s basically worthless. Game’s gone, modern life is rubbish, it was much better decades ago, blah blah blah.

You’re like a dog with a bone Let it go. Nobody’s losing any sleep over the kick off time. The OP was just wondering why it was so late, that’s all. Nothing more nothing less.
    Life will go on tomorrow.
Sorry for being a bit nostalgic. It won’t happen again.

Regardless of the interpretation of the rules by VAR.

I'm not so sure whether Henderson touched the ball outside the box.

The first angle appears to freeze the frame at a moment when Henderson's arm is outstretched, suggesting handball outside the box. However, a different angle reveals Henderson is not actually touching the ball at that precise moment.

Look again at the TV replays ... I think that Henderson touched the ball virtually above the white line.
