Poor game ,but good result. Brennan draped in the flag for his interview was nice to see.

I think this is probably the end for Manchester United as a mega club for the time being. They have the same problem we have, shit ownership who do not understand football, as well as dabbling in massive overspending for crap players that haven't been scouted enough.

They'll be like Everton from now on, circling the relegation drain until one bad fall sends them down. The only good news for them is that they can focus on the league next season.

He didn't say it was the touch that went in the net though. I dont think he knows what happened. He said I know I got a touch then saw it trickling in the net. It hit Johnson hit Shaw then it goes in. I dont think Johnson has touched it again.

Scrappy goal fitting as a winner for that final.

Matondo made 2 appearances for Rangers in 23/24 and 5 mins off the bench this season, although not in the Group Stage

Question is will Amorim want to stay... shit overpriced squad and now no money to fix it. It will be a long rebuild for them, they are way off the top 10 next season.

Don't know about the Champions League but Simon Davies was the last to play in a Europa League final.

In the Europa League, yes you are correct but the question was the Champions League. The last Welsh player to feature in the Champions League was Gareth Bale, who last played in the competition in the 2022/2023 season for Real Madrid.

Aaron Ramsey played for Rangers in the final. Think he came on as sub to take a pen and missed.🤣

Apparently Ben Woodburn won a CL winners medal without playing a game.

I thought the same. Very similar. Crap chairmen. A board who haven't got a clue what they're doing a transfer committee who are equally stupid and a team full of poor players on ridiculous wages.

Brennan Johnson has signed a four-year contract with Spurs in 2023. He agreed on a weekly salary of 63,000 till 30 June 2028. Since his Nottingham Forest career where he used to get a yearly salary of 2,236,000 the past season, the net worth has taken a huge jump after the recent deal with Tottenham. No, this was qualifying for the Champions League both years, before they dropped into the Europa League. If you are only talking about the Champions League Group Stage, you may be correct.

I thought Spurs were quite lucky in the end as they didn’t play much in the first half, but stopped playing after half time and it’s an indictment of Man United that they were unable to cash in on such limited opponents- really pleased they couldn’t mind.

If qualifying counts surely TNS must have Welsh players in the team

26% possession, only 3 shots, just 112 passes completed for Spurs.

I find it quite funny that the biggest criticism of Ange - and rightly so - is that he's tactically inflexible, naive, and leave his sides wide open with his gung-ho approach. And then he wins a trophy with some of the most negative, defensive, shithousing tactics I've seen in years.

That said, I don't think any Spurs fans will remember or care. I look at them last night, Palace fans on Saturday, West Ham fans a couple of years ago when they won the Conference League, and there's no way you can tell me a top four finish is preferable to winning a trophy.

Really pleased for Son, too. Player of his ability deserve to have his loyalty rewarded.

I liked the comment after the match from the spurs manager that if they got in front he knew man u couldn't hurt them.

That's a damning indictment of where manure are.

Luis Enrique is the only manager who has got to grips with the defensive side of the gung-ho approach to football, and even Barcelona struggle with it.
