I've got this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach that we may be related.
My paternal family is from Hitchin and I lived near there as a toddler.
Re: Stevenage - the town centre is awful. Concrete, and lacking character.
The A1M, which runs beside the town, can be a nightmare - a fast dual carriegeway at peak times.
But I've stayed in the Premier hotel there twice in the last six months and found it friendly, functional and forty-five pounds (as I booked in advance)
The road system in the area is dated and poor - makes one appreciate the money that's been poured into Valley's roads in South Wales.
The football club has done well to get into and stay in the Football League imo. And, Alex Revell deserves a shout out. But the club survives with a ground capacity of 7.2K which can be upped to 9.5K.
'And that's all I've got to say'.
