    Re: Assassinations in Minnesota.

Some reports are saying the suspect Vance Luther Boelter was a Tim Waltz appointee. RIP to the victims of this senseless murder.

PS Not sure where DeSantis fit's in, is he involved somehow?

    12 June.

"Melissa Hortman provided the sole Democratic vote in Minnesota's lower chamber to pass a Republican bill that would strip adult undocumented migrants of state-funded healthcare. The bill passed the House in a 68-65 vote, with Hortman's vote helping Republicans secure its passage, which left Hortman in tears."

I included links to DeSantos and that policeman as examples of what was being said by some people in authority in the days leading up to the shootings. It was something similar to the rise in hate crimes in the days and weeks after the Brexit vote when some people were emboldened by the outcome and a feeling that their views were more mainstream than they had believed - having politicians and policemen talking about potentially killing political opponents was always likely to have consequences.

I posted a link to the source.

In fairness, Bob speculated here and WB less so.

Ron de Santis is nothing to do with it. Anyone can play that game.

More info on the guy below.

DeSantos' comments are inflamatory in what was a tinder box atmoshere in the days leading up to yesterday's military parade and protests. What constitutes a "mob'? Were those Liverpool supporters hit by a car a few weeks back a mob?

They are inflammatory. Loads of things are. Calling people fascists in inflammatory, putting Trump in the "bullseye" before his assassination attempt (which prompted jokes on here btw) was claimed to be inflammatory by his side.

The language used by Trump and against Trump for about 10 years now is inflammatory it's got nothing to do what happened yesterday though has it?

And if it has, as I said, anyone can (and will) play that game. Name an incident, there will have been inflammatory language broadly around that topic.

You'll have to see what pans out. Seems this guy was very anti-abortion for example but that doesn't mean it was caused by people talking about. The last political killing in America was in New York a couple of weeks ago when someone shouted Free Palestine and shot dead a Jewish couple for example. Was he prompted by language on that topic?

People need to reign it in and stop demonizing the "other side" across the spectrum instead of adding to it.

Stop telling everyone else what they should do.

What exactly does the Mango Mussolini have to do for you to actually smell the coffee?

He does like telling what you should be doing doesn’t he - in this case, he certainly hasn’t made me realise the error of my ways!

I'm not telling you what to do. I'm respectfully saying that in linking this event to a totally unrelated issue that points to the "other side" you are absolutely doing the exact same that MAGA enthusiasts do.

You can keep up the sectarian stuff I guess, but don't act surprised when things deteriorate further. Ron de Santis has nothing whatsoever to do with the incident.
