Pre determined part of the draw means we have Newport and Exeter. One will be at home and one away.
Then we'll have an U21 prem team at home.

What are you all thinking about this competition - a good chance of getting to Wembley and picking up some silverware or a bit of an embarrassment that we're even in it so we should play the kids (as far as the rules allow)? I'm tending towards the latter to be honest.
A mix of youth and first team. Newport makes it interesting and we don't want to be turned over by the u21 team.
Wouldn't turn down a Wembley trip either if we were lucky to get that far.
I think it's a great opportunity to play some younger players and slowly feed in more experienced players if we progress.
It's only really a good tournament from a first team perspective from the semi finals onwards but personally my hope for this season is:
1- promotion
2- win this competition
3 - and FA cup / league cup run.
Realistically as a league one team, a great FA cup run means the 5th round or something. I would swap that for winning this trophy.
I think we should play our strongest team in every competition we enter. Especially against Newport. Hoover up all the trophies available and then straight back up to the championship as champions of League 1. For me that would take some of the pain out of this relegation.
City being in this cup and the first round of the FA Cup fills me with embarrassment.
The only benefit will be the extra game time for the younger players.
Completing our group - Arsenal u21s.
