It's free over the whole weekend and takes place in a twee town a picturesque bend of the Avon. There are about a dozen venues spread throughout the place, ranging from street corners to marquees and in the church - and all within 5 minutes walk. There will be 190 performances this year:

It's free, there's no entrance points and the camping prices are very reasonable indeed. One can access the shops as on any other day and the pub prices are not inflated for the weekend.
You never find yourself a quarter of a mile from the artists and standing space is not a problem anywhere.
It takes minutes to return to the campsite to freshen up, cook or kip and the whole atmosphere is relaxed and the street are buzzing without it feeling oppressive.
The town also hosts both folk and jazz weekends too.
It doesn't host the biggest names but it's a great place to discover unfamiliar artists or those used to fill smaller venues.

That really does sound more like my cup of tea

Tim Healy is Dennis from Auf Weidersehn Pet. Dunno who the woman is, presumably his missus.

I watched about 10 minutes of the 1975 and started running a warm bath and looking for razor blades.

I enjoyed the Supergrass set, plenty of their early stuff.
I strangely enjoyed CMAT who were on straight after. Not my usual music taste but they looked like they were having a good time and so did the crowd

Bit of a disappointing lineup this year I think. I'll try to see the Prodigy and Rod, and that's about it.

She is/was an actress (?Coronation Street), presenter on Loose Women, part-time Eddie Izzard lookalike and ex-alcoholic.

I really enjoyed Supergrass, they played a lot of the I should coco album, Wet Leg and Alanis Morrisette. Her voice sounds better now than when she debuted in the 90s

    It'll be live on iPlayer.
Gary Numan on the Park Stage at 6pm. First time he's ever played at the festival.

Billy Bragg responded to Rod's tweet about the country needing to give Reform a chance, by telling him not to bring politics into Glastonbury.

Didn't Alanis Morissette write a song about that?

That singer from Portishead was brilliant if you like to take a wander off the beaten path.

    Beth Gibson.
Saw her in Dublin a good while back and she was mesmerizing.
