I want to guard against hyperbole…but every news organization has been gushing about it, even some putting it up there with The Pistols in Manchester, Prince’s half time show’ Queen at Live Aid as one of the greatest gigs ever.
That may well be over the top and of course they aren’t everyone’s cup of darjeeling, that being said Cardiff and Wales is painted in a great light and I really can’t see any other show that they do having the impact of last night.
People on Twitter banging on what a great place Cardiff is helped my 4th of July hangover today :)
I’m going to try and catch them in NYC I think.
Back home, worth every penny. Mad for it.
Didn’t go but have been out with friends tonight who went last night. They had a brilliant night, did say that that Oasis really didn’t have to sing because the crowd sang every word. What a great week with the Blackweir gigs and Oasis for Cardiff though, it does put our city on the map.
Went Friday, Great gig and good vibe in the City.
Not sure about Liam's comment at tonights gig !!

What a night. One that will live long in the memory. Worth every penny.
There has always been plenty of guitar bands around but not mainstream. If you lad loves that type of music, tell him to listen to James & The Cold Gun, Slate, Eurekas, Soundwire, The Family Battenburg, Pigion Wigs, Dactyl Terra. All welsh bands. He might not like any of them, but there are plenty of guitar bands about![]()
This was posted on the Bristol City forum towards the end of last year. They're quite complementary.
The last poster in the thread said... "Unfortunately, Cardiff leaves Bristol in the shade and the gap is getting wider"

Had to get a bus from outside the castle, earlier, The Thompson Twins were playing at the time, "Hold Me Now" sounded pretty good and from the crowd singing, it seemed a decent attendance, Human League the headline act.
