Yes he has real qualities but is inconsistent and is accused of being lazy on occasion.
The mitigating factors have been being in and out of the team, being played out of position and the managers playing a safer bet ahead of him.
Getting off to a good start, being a first choice and being allowed some flexibility on the pitch with his emphasis being attack rather than defence would make all the difference.
Even on a bad day, as all players have, he needs to hold onto his place and have a good next game.
If he cannot or does not get a chance then best he find another club and prove himself.
