India let England back in it last over before lunch.
Pant trying to get Rahul on strike for his ton with a single gets brilliantly run out by Stokes.

The heat was brutal today at Lords.

I can’t imagine what it must have been like to have been playing :-o

    Farcical final over yesterday.

Hope they throw the book at both teams after this game, there were only seventy five overs bowled on Friday with all of the time that was wasted. Apparently, close to a full session was lost on the first two days because of the slow over rates.

England may have some great attacking batsmen, but they only have two fully rounded ones (Root and Stokes). Bowled out in just over 60 overs today, so, yet again, the bowlers get less than a day’s rest between innings. India need 193 to win.

    53-3 Carse bowling well.

What a superb days cricket that was. I was flinching in my chair watching Bumrah bowl this morning. He was hitting the cracks ball after ball. I think we were all expecting the same from Archer this evening but he was too full. Carse bowled a superb spell late on, and Stokes bowled beautifully too.

It’s going to be a superb first session tomorrow unless Pant goes crazy again, but it isn’t going to be easy for him.

Cricket is so much better a spectacle when the bowlers have a wicket with a bit of spice in it.

Brilliant stuff today, after a few days of slow yet interesting cricket. Can't wait for tomorrow.
Could someone explain to me though how a sub Durel, is able to keep wicket, whilst Pant is allowed to bat. Shouldn't someone in the original XI keep wicket, with a substitute fielder being elsewhere on the field?

Yes! Joke. Massive day tomorrow for bashir. As big as he’s had for me. Can he contribute? I’m not confident.

I don't have Sky so I'm not able to watch the game but listening to Test Match Special on the radio is pure joy. And what a final day we have in prospect tomorrow.

He may not need to depending on how well the quicks exploit the cracked pitch

In order to win, I think he needs to positively contribute - as Washington sundar did for India

If Bashir is needed to bowl, the game has gone. It's all about the quicks, KL Rahul and Pant
