But like I said. Most parents will not be heading into your and Sludges camp on that.

They will firmly be criticising the expulsion of a child for expressing her culture. And to that you will say...ahh..it's her parents influence! But you would never say that in any other case, and that exposes your bias. It's wrong. It was wrong from the start, the school knows it and no one should have sympathy with the school.

Whatever her dad's politics, they are fueled by the original decision. Fanned by the kind of arguments you are making here tbh.
I don’t think the treatment of the girl
Is right - the school should have done a collective eyeroll and avoided the drama. Realistically, this won’t have been the first attempt.

I agree with you that most parents will criticise the school in this story. I would say that a majority of reasonable parents “with context” of what’s going on here would change their minds.

I would absolutely look at the bigger picture in every other case. I consider myself left of centre, (I presume left is the “bias” you mean?), but I’m capable of seeing a story and looking at it objectively.

Her dad’s politics aren’t fueled by the original decision. That’s complete nonsense. His feed has the same vitriol prior to this story.
