Can you imagine if you knew someone who talked about wanting to shag his own daughter? You wouldn't go within a mile of him. At least the hangers on in his circle have some kind of reason for being one, the money and/or power that goes along with the presidency.

But ordinary joes who are apologists for him and downplay or excuse him - I don't understand them at all.

Yup, i can't understand it. I think that there are a lot of disaffected people out there, Traumatised, Angry, dissatisfied as to how the world is changing, marginalised etc. And these people maybe cling onto the likes of Trump because he's essentially a Vulgar but Grandioso protest, he says the things these people would probably like to say, but they can't. It's like people who align themselves to a bully in the hope that they don't get bullied themselves. It never ends well.

I can't understand how some people believe every "news" item that they see or read.

    I would agree with you.

That's good, because we are constantly being gaslighted at every turn and the only way we ever find out the truth is when somebody is held to account, which rarely happens. Alternatively, the truth emerges years later when nobody cares anymore. As somebody once said, it's a big club and you ain't in it.

Can you give us some examples of people who do that on here?

Yes, Paul asked you a question.

    Not a difficult one, either.

    Well worth a I suppose.

But back on track, is that answer just a 'No' - you can't give any examples?

I don't know about any Lardy source, but surely the much shared story was that Trump paid a number of Russian prostitutes to 'golden shower' him?

He was the receiver, not the giver.

It's no wonder you've got your wires so badly crossed about the Trump-Putin bromance if you can't distinguish between the pissers and the pissee!

Trump was the batter, not the bowler.

As your leader, Jon, I can say that is a lovely bit of attention to detail. We'll talk more about it in our weekly Tuesday 10 o'clock, and we can also have a giggle and plan a future strategy when a certain topic breaks. It's Sunday, so enjoy the rest of your evening and we'll get back on it in the morning.

You couldn't expect me to do anything because I don't even know what I am going to do myself!
