If the leading bid for City is linked to Gary Otto (of Sutton Utd) then this is a good insight into the gent. Its a 50 minute interview he gave a year ago on a Sutton Utd podcast.

He's living in California. Is he part of Bale's consortium or vice-versa?

I Bet Bale is involved
It’s probably a good thing that Otto doesn’t single handedly have the wealth to fund a takeover of Cardiff City because it means he has to answer to least one investor (it seems he currently has two investors ready to back him here) and his recent experience shows he’s quite happy to implement and manage the expectations of multiple backers.
If his consortium is successful then I think it would be a missed opportunity for Otto not to contact the Bale group and work on a plan to incorporate them as club investors. There’s plenty of room in the directors box, and I think Gareth Bale still has a good opportunity to take his seat there.
Regarding Otto and from what little information there is out there, it does seem he is very hands on and happy to get into the detail of the day-to-day operations which would be a breath of fresh air given the carefree delegated approach the club has had to endure for 13+ years.![]()
Twitter in overdrive tonight. Takeover nearly finalised. Who knows![]()
Latest rumour, Jonny Owen involved and new owners meeting fans on Friday.
The Trust is the fans organisation that has been chasing the club to issue a formal statement dealing with all these rumours, claims and media reports. We have published our communications with the club board, their response and the fact that we have told them that the response received wasn`t good enough. We will continue to press for a proper formal response.
What we have received is a direct quote from a director of the club saying that recent claims about a deal to sell the club is imminent and that Vincent Tan has progressed discussions and has agreed to sell the club are "rubbish".
However, unless and until the club clarifies the position on the record, claims wil continue to arise and develop
When do we reckon this Otto guy notices this social media talk and comes out to say shame, ja no it's bollocks fok off.
