A truly amazing (astonishing even) voice. I didn't realise she was that old. I remember her being a guest on variety shows and also on Parkinson.

Don't deny she had a great voice, but her style of singing epitomised why I've never been a fan of what I'll call true jazz.

Funny how things stick in your head, but I remember her as much for appearances on Call My Bluff as I do for her appearances with her husband Johnny Dankworth on that show fronted by Oscar Peterson..
