Pubs in England have been given the go ahead to stay open till 1am if they win, or 6am if it goes to a pelanty shoot out.

Half time, England will be delighted that this is somehow still only 1-0

1-1 with quite possibly their first attack since the second minute

Perfect example of taking your chances, Spain will be kicking themselves

If England do end up winning this, hard to remember a tournament where the eventual winner has been second best for so much of it.

Not watched much women's football but it seems the technical ability of the average player at this level has come along well.

Still the final ball let's them down, some great build up then when it comes to the shot, cross etc they forget how to use their feet.

Spain seem well on top at the moment.

Spain have hardly had a lot of clear cut chances.
It’s been pretty even 2nd half.

64% possession and 22 shots to 8. 62 touches in the box to 18. They haven't had clear cut chances because they've been absolutely wasteful every time they've got close to the box.

So they haven’t exactly deserved the victory in normal time. I’ve had Ł20 on Spain since the tournament began, but they’ve got worse as they’ve progressed. C’mon Espana !

Can't quite believe how bad the decision making in and around the box was from Spain

England haven't played that well from the start of the tournament, after the French loss they have managed to dig in and find a way to succeed, delighted for them.

As someone who doesn’t want England to win a game of tiddlywinks, well done to them despite being totally undeserved. At least the misogynists won’t be celebrating as they didn’t see it.

Yup, it'll piss a fair few people off, so that's good enough for me.

Quite a remarkable victory considering they've only led in 2 games throughout the entire tournament.
2-0 down with 12 minutes to go in the quarters, 96th minute equaliser and 119th minute winner in the semi, and coming from behind in the final. They scored 6 out of 12 penalties in the shootouts.
They certainly rode their luck, but somehow found a way.

England won the last women’s Euros at Wembley 3 years ago.

If you’d already forgotten that (arguably bigger) win, then I think you’ll survive the supposed next few years of 24/7 media onslaught about this win.

The technical & physical capabilities on show made the whole tournament a good watch (IMHO).

Thought Hampton was superb throughout the tournament especially given historical / current issues with her eyesight.

Whether England were lucky doesn't really matter. They won and it will be so insprational for girls ... not just in England.

its was hardly a media onslaught then, won't expect it to be now
