Turns out we’re 24 points clear of third placed Derbyshire who are certainly lucky enough to get promoted.

correction: awful bowling. Gorvin having a mare.

    Re: GLAMMY

Carlson has just reached a superb hundred with almost half of his runs coming in sixes , but it’s in a losing cause surely - 8 wickets down with over a hundred needed.

Lost by 72, all out with 10 overs left!

Given the timeline I fear this may be close to home

I thought the same as you, but the gentleman concerned’s Wikipedia entry says that he was only employed by Glamorgan in 2024.

Match abandoned at Neath today, currently watching Welsh Fire Women’s team trying their best to lose their first game of the season.

    Re: GLAMMY

A miserable day in Leeds for both the man’s and women’s Welsh Fire sides.

    Re: GLAMMY

Welsh Fire women with possibly the worst run chase I’ve ever seen - in command all the way through, yet they were completely unable to up their run rate ever so slightly to complete the win despite having plenty of wickets in hand.

Pathetic. What can the men do?

    Re: GLAMMY

meaningless, money making, plastic comp with nothing Welsh about it.

    Re: GLAMMY

London on their way to a big score in the men's game. Gonna be a tough chase.

Whether you can warm to it or not, the ground was busting at the seems (relatively) and almost witnessed an incredible end. It was superb entertainment. IÂ’m a huge county cricket fan and want success for Glammy but thereÂ’s obviously a product here that spectators want to see. Maybe itÂ’s like Welsh rugby, fans will turn out for 3 or 4 games a year if they think itÂ’s an event?

I’m a massive cricket fan. Like you I’m a massive glammy fan. Every game, every format. Until this summer I’ve not had anything to do with the 100. Partly the gimmicky nature of it and probably as much to do with the lack of glammy involvement in the Welsh side. But I’ve told (made) myself to give it a go this summer - even if it is just for Ben kellaway’s sake - but after 2 games I am struggling with it!!

Away at Surrey today. And Surrey's second over there is quite possibly the worst first class over I've ever seen bowled. Feel for the young lad French.

Glammy not complaining though, off to a flyer. 36-0 off the first 3 overs.

And then in his next over - after bowling another wide - he gets Byrom. Typical.

    Re: GLAMMY

Glammy should clear out the sh1te! some of the bowling was sub-standard and worse than a pub side.

    Re: GLAMMY

Hard luck for Glamorgan, not sure the circumstances of the way surreys d/l total was set, but when you have 150 odd more than the other side, who are 5 down, I think you can feel hard done by to lose!

Just caught a bit of the Welsh fire. Who is managing them? Just watched absolute joke players like wells, zaib and abell come out and mess around while a genuinely decent player in Walter comes out at 8. More to the point, how are the likes of Carlson not there ahead the dogsh*te players like zaib and wells. A 'welsh' team that seem to hold Glamorgan and it's players in contempt.
