Both Colwills good and making things happen but final touch let them down a few times, probably Wintle on balance

Wintle certainly proving his doubters to eat humble pie this season that's for sure . Looks a revelation this season so far and long may it continue

I’ve never understood that when someone ups their game and looks more useful than they used to why former critics are suddenly wrong in their previous conclusions.

I lean towards Rubin for the confidence in bringing the ball forward and taking on a few players at a time. Sometimes, he could get himself into trouble taking on 4 at once, but he could usually handle 2 quite comfortably. Joel played well too.

Special shoutout to Turnbull too for making the goal happen. Our midfield I would say is the best in the league, and has looked great in every game bar Port Vale so far.

I would go with Joel Colwill for my match of the day

Rubin for me. Drove forward, passed forward, didn’t stop going. He plays like a leader. Joel was good too.

Trott I think should get a mention too.
He did well to keep his concentration for a long period of time before Wimbledon tried for a winner in the last third of the match. He did what he needed to do after some suspect defending and his save at the death was special.

I think too that BBM's substitutions were nothing short of genius.
Willock cross, Turnbull volley and Davies with the deft flick of his knee.

We got worse when they came on, but it was eerie how it was the three of them that combined for the goal

Fish just edges Lawlor as man of the match for me.

Wintle is having a great start to this season, last season he was in the Championship and couldn’t get into the side while on loan at Millwall.
Either he’s found his level, or maybe upped his game this season, either way let’s hope it continues

A few possibilities but for me it has to be a defender, keeping us in the game in the second half and against some big blokes.
Lawler had a good game but Fish is MOM

Fish would have just edged out Lawlor, I think you’re right
Although there will be stiffer tests to come it’s good to see the relatively young back four doing so well

Really hard, Trott won us the game, Fish, Colwill, Colwill and Wintle were superb.

Does that include your mate Erol Bulut?

Wintle's had a good start to the campaign. In League One.

Rubin for me. Kept us moving forward when I thought the momentum had shifted.

relatively is doing a lot of work there:

    Kpakio is 18
    Lawlor 19
    Fish is 22
    and old-man Bagan is 23.

I would be surprised if there was a younger back 4 in the entire football league.

I think this answer sums it up really.

What I mean is, last season we were struggling to pick out one from a bad bunch. This season, so far, we are struggling to pick out one from a good bunch.

I would have gone with Fish as MOM, but, as someone else pointed out, the save made by Trott swayed it for me.

That save typified a real team mentality effort, he stayed focussed right up to the end, so when it mattered and his time came, he delivered.

slightly off topic but do any athletics fans here think Joel bears an uncanny resemblance to Swedish Pole Vault superstar Armand Duplantis?
