Apart from getting sent off I thought Ashford played well and also didn't shirk a physical battle and showed some good strength.
Must have watched a different game.😂
He's allowed to come inside when he plays out wide, although i agree with you in thinking that playing in a wider position can stifle his game a bit. I'm not sure this new style of play suits him, although it's very early on, Ashford is still developing as well. He's never really been hyped on here like other players who have come through the system, in fact he isn't really talked about much. I don't know how far he will go, or how he will develop, but one thing i am sure of is that he has a brain for football.
Despite being empty, that terraced home end looked amazing. I wish we could have one of those.
By my reckoning, Ashford’s scored two and provided three assists this season.(Rotherham, Plymouth and last night). Thought he played well last night until his stupid red card and I would agree that his form has been a little patchy this season, but I think some in this thread are just showing that they always need to have somebody to be critical of - five goal involvments out of a total of eighteen scored is perfectly acceptable for a player who does his fair share of defensive work I’d say.
Impressive number of away fans there last night. Id like to think we will take this competition reasonably seriously
Encouraging showing by youngsters, but injuries and daft red card are concerns.

Brian Barry-Murphy said the decision to pull Omari Kellyman off after 35 minutes in the win over Exeter City was pre-planned as they wanted to avoid any "risk" of overdoing it on his Cardiff City debut.
“We have to be careful and take it slowly with him.”
Kellyman endured a nightmare first season at Chelsea last season following a Ł19m move from Aston Villa. The playmaker suffered two bad hamstring injuries, the last of which saw him undergo surgery in March - and he hadn't played a competitive game since.
Ng played really well last night.
I hope BBM goes back to the back 4 that has served us well this season though on Saturday.
Nice to see Perrett make his debut, sounds like he did alright
By my count that's all but 1 of the large City contingent that qualified for Wales' first youth tournament with senior appearances for us now, not counting the poached trio of course
