I am losing sympathy with the other parties who should join up to defeat reform instead of arguing like kids

If the two usual parties just simply just worked for their constituents and not for themselves, the WEF or big Pharma, there would be no need for the grift that is known as reform. It's not that difficult to understand. PS there are some tasty lads from Trowbridge, Sludge and his posh Cowbridge crew, would have never gone in the Newbridge and that was a soft pub in Trowbridge. The Hendre however 😁

Trowbridge to Cowbridge; from rags to riches. Sounds a bit like a Jeffrey Archer novel.

I’d say it’s successive useless, self serving Labour and Tory governments that are walking into the twilight zone.

How did you reach the 10% figure?

    Re: Reform win Trowbridge by-election

He's probably right. Local elections have relatively low turnouts, by-elections even more so. It's a large ward so the electorate will be around 11-12000

But that's the case for lots of local elections, many of which are won with way less than 40% of the vote.

It's a very comprehensive win for Reform and a worse result for Labour than they would have expected after winning Llanrumney (which isn't that different) a few weeks back.

A pattern is emerging with local byelections across the country:

Labour are losing working class seats to Reform, and they are losing posher seats to the Greens and Lib Dems.

They aren't winning anywhere and nor are the Tories much. Nationally both are dicking about on 20% or lower.

    These are unprecedented times

I’d have thought it would be nearer the 20% mark, given the 18 or over population.

You only have to be 12 to vote in Wales now remember.

Nah, it's probably about right, but their mandate here will still be bigger than many in local byelections.

Plaid are probably the only way to slightly curb the bloodshed in next year's Senedd elections.

I can understand political disillusion but what the hell do working class people think these failed right wing former Tories are going to do for them. Is it all really just about kicking out brown people to them, the only people less well off than themselves?

The working class people are crying out for a government to run the country fairly, and look after its own, before dishing out billions to all and sundry. Charity begins at home.
900k youngsters unemployed here, hard working folk desperate for homes, energy bills soaring, the cost of living soaring, more and more families living in poverty. It’s absolutely disgraceful.
Reform is definitely not the answer, but it shows what dire circumstances we are in, and how badly successive governments have performed.
We are in £2.8 trillion debt, with absolutely nothing to show for it, and it feels to many like the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.
The natives are becoming restless. We need a different approach to modern day politics and policies.
The majority of the working class are not far right racist lunatics, just totally fed up and disillusioned with their lot.

We’ve needed something else than a two (shite) party state for years…..I always hoped the Lib Dem’s would step up but looks like reform have taken up the mantle. The people of this country who work have had an absolute guts full of the usual two…..
