Alternatively, it can be seen as ideal preparation for the game against Belgium, as no other available teams would have offered the same level of competition.

With Bellamy's renowned attention to detail it couldn't be anything else!

and allegedly damaging for our world ranking & pot allocation, if we lose it drops us from pot 2 to pot 3, (if we qualify that is).

If we don't get anything out of the Belgium game, North Macedonia will probably only need a point against us in November to advance, so maybe Bellamy is trying to give us the best chance of progressing in the tournament?

    Wales: 10 points, GD +5

    Belgium (H)
    Liechtenstein (A)
    North Macedonia (H)

North Macedonia: 11 points, GD +9

    Belgium (A)
    Kazakhstan (H)
    Wales (A)

Playing Belgium without Bellamy's pre-planned preparation isn't a horrible idea?

Indeed. Now pulled out due to.....er......injury. It really is time for him to hang up his international boots at least.
Ruben called up as a replacement.

I don't understand why he hasn't called it a day full stop, it's all got a bit sad and predictable. If we qualify and he's taken to the world cup that would be nothing short of criminal.

Surely even Ramsey’s biggest fans are getting embarrassed by him now? Shuffling off to Mexico, only to get injured there too - it’s all a bit sad. He really should have retired at the end of his first season back here.

I think hes desperate to get to the World Cup and it seems Bellamy will be only too happy to oblige him.

All the talk who Colwill should have been in the squad instead of and the answer was always Bellamy. His body isnt up to it.

I can understand Bellamy wanting Ramsey around - it’s a fairly young and relatively inexperienced squad - but he should only be there as a member of the backroom staff now. Relying on him as a player is frankly ridiculous under the circumstances.

Craig Bellamy on England v Wales ahead of Wembley friendly.

England have a ridiculous squad. They have a transfer market value of 1.4billion, ours is Ł170million. If you were a boxing promoter you wouldn’t put us together. It wouldn’t be allowed.

Doesn’t know much about Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren then.
