As an aside - and I freely admit that Maccabi Tel Aviv have their share of thugs - but every video I have seen from yesterday involves Hapoel Tel Aviv (who play in red and white) who are their rivals, and were the home side. Just an observation that is. I don't doubt Maccabi fans contributed to the chaos, as these things are very seldom one sided.
Up until very recently away fans have been banned from the Glasgow derby for years.

And your thoughts on Maccabi fans behaviour in Amsterdam?

No they weren't. It's cos the two clubs couldn't agree on ticketing arrangements.

Genocide is a form of one-sided mass killing in which a state or other authority intends to destroy a group, as that group and membership in it are defined by the perpetrator.

Lets be clear what Israel intended. It was clearly stated that Israel wanted to destroy Hamas. If your genocide is in reference to that then you would be right. If you are trying to conflate this to a wider genocide against the people of Gaza then you are wrong.

I for one will thank Israel if they wipe out that horrible sicking self-serving murderous terrorist group Hamas. They do-not work for the best interests of Gazan people and their lives will only improve when Hamas and Hezbullah are destroyed.

I read the link provided. Not one mention of the Jew hunt which happened after the game. Strange that

They were subjected to a mass 'Jew hunt' after the game.

They deserved it after what happened before the match.

The reach of the anti-semitic west midlands police knows no bounds, they are all powerful.

You are not alone in defining the term 'genocide' for yourself and amplifying the Israeli government's occasional defence.

But every major human rights organisation in the world (including in Israel) as well as the UN's Commission of Inquiry have concluded that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people.

On the question of intent - Israeli government and IDF representatives (up to Netanyahu) have condemned themselves!

Still, if you and Trump and Starmer disagree, that is up to you.

    Because of fan safety

You must have been asleep for the past two years. One sided mass killing is exactly what we got. 68k and counting!

Well by definition, anything related to away fans is connected to fan safety cos the very reason we have segregated sections is due to fan safety (although I read with interest recently that Premiership Rugby is bringing it in to aid atmospheres..).

But the reason away fans weren't present for two years is because the clubs couldn't agree on allocations. Thankfully reversed now.

In terms of trouble, things seem to be a little worse in Scotland now than England and there is a much stronger "pyro" culture, up there, I'm not sure why tbh

They'll bend over backwards to appease their overlords: the safety of British citizens is a secondary concern. What a bunch of lily livered nobodies.

Spot on. Worrying how people's mind works. No wonder we'll end up with a reform government

So the genuine Maccabi fans who wouldn’t cause bother and just wanted to support their team are the ones who suffer. Cosmic!

Trouble absolutely would have found them. This isn't being done just to punish the Maccabi fans, it's also being done to keep them and others safe.

    It’s the perfect outcome.

Villa are blameless. The Birmingham SAG can say they’d have stuck to their original decision. The government can claim they would have found a solution. The Israelis can play the victim card. And those who are apparently more outraged by the ‘suffering’ of a bunch of football fans than a genocide can stay outraged.

    Truly cosmic.

Last comment is just beyond ignorant.

Would be nice actually if Villa made a token invitation to Emily Damari and family who was one of the hostages and a London based Maccabi fan, as a gesture of goodwill
