Would love to see him slotted into a #8 role, one of our standouts from last season and deserves the chance. Glad BBM seems to have finally broke the ambiguity around him and we got a positive update.
Also Fish dealing with a minor knee issue and may be a Saturday doubt, but Lawlor looking good.
I don't mind this approach if it gets the bst out of him in the long run.
We've had managers in the past pushing Rubin Colwill to do more in certain areas and things like his work rate etc have increased massively
Fair enough nobody covered themselves in glory, but at the end of last season I think most would have had Robertson ahead of Joel Colwill, David Turnbull and Ryan Wintle abd suddenly he finds himself behind them all - probably Eli King too if he hadn't have been injured. Even Mafico can get a game but Robertson can't.
That said them manager obviously knows what he wants from the players. I'd rather he sets a high standard than let people in on reputation.
Hasn't BBM said he sees him as a 6.
He was a disappointment last season but he could thrive in the League below.
Hes got to offer more than Turnbull who is just making too many easy sideways and backpasses.
Judging by his attempts to keep things low-key in the full interview, it sounds like he's nearing a return. He looks to have trained well. I anticipate we'll see him get some minutes this weekend, most likely as a sub, though a starting spot isn't entirely out of the question.
