Following on from the fact posted in the Devon Derby thread - Plymouth being the biggest city in England to have never had a top flight team (courtesy of JamesWales)
I was wondering what other similar facts people on here may have.
Two I know of.
Largest city to have never had a football league team?
And largest city to have never had a Premier League team?

I've read before that Bedford is certainly one of the largest places to have never had a league team. Would have been Milton Keynes before I guess?
Preston hovered around the upper Championship for a few years with us before our first promotion, without ever going up, so could be them?
Of course they used to be a regular in the top division before football was invented.
Bath has never had a football league team.
